《红皮藻》翻译实践报告

【摘要】：《红皮藻》出自于加拿大女作家艾丽丝·门罗的The Moons of Jupiter这部小说集,The Moons of Jupiter共由十部短篇小说组成,由于字数和已经被出版的限制,剩余短篇小说由译者和其余五位同学共同完成。尤金·奈达(Eugene Nida)针对以往《圣经》翻译中过于注重形式对等的弊病,在上个世纪六十年代提出了“形式对等”和“动态对等”两个概念,后又将“动态对等”改为“功能对等”。“功能对等”注重读者的接受效果,强调功能对等重于形式对等。这为我们的翻译实践提供了新的翻译标准。在本小说翻译中,译者在“形”和“意”不能兼顾之时,采取以“意”为主,力争使译文与原文在意义上最大限度地相似,并采取必要的措施使译文读者的理解与接受尽可能接近原文读者。此次翻译实践中,译者结合原文本的词汇、语法、篇章和文体四方面,采用了意译、合译、拆分、增益等翻译方法。在翻译实践报告里,译者结合一系列案例,分析了如何运用“功能对等”理论来处理翻译中的文化、修辞及长难句等问题。
[Abstract]:The Moons of Jupiter, a collection of ten short stories by Canadian female writer Alice Monroe, is a collection of ten short stories, due to word size and limitations that have been published. The remaining short stories are written by the translator and the other five students. Eugene Nida (Eugene Nida) put forward the concepts of "formal equivalence" and "dynamic equivalence" in the sixties of the last century, aiming at the disadvantages of paying too much attention to formal equivalence in Bible translation. Later, change "dynamic equivalence" to "functional equivalence". Functional equivalence focuses on the reader's acceptance, emphasizing functional equivalence over formal equivalence. This provides a new translation standard for our translation practice. In the translation of this novel, the translator, when the "form" and "meaning" can not be taken into account, takes the "meaning" as the main idea, and tries to make the translation and the original text as similar as possible in meaning. Some necessary measures are taken to make the readers' understanding and acceptance as close as possible to the original readers. In this translation practice, the translator combines the lexical, grammatical, textual and stylistic aspects of the original text, and adopts translation methods such as free translation, co-translation, split and gain. In the translation practice report, the translator combines a series of cases to analyze how to use the "functional equivalence" theory to deal with the problems of culture, rhetoric and long difficult sentences in translation.
