语境视域下的《女勇士》回译对比研究

《女勇士》是美籍华裔作家汤亭亭用英文创作的关于中国主题的文学作品。该作于1976年首次出版后便蜚声美国文坛,成为流行一时的畅销书。该作品大量改写并挪用中国文化故事与历史典故,满足了西方人对中国文化的猎奇,是当时西方人接触并了解中国文化的重要文学作品之一。《女勇士》的汉译需要将那些改编过的中国传统文化故事和历史典故翻译成汉语,并回归到中国文化故土,这种现象属于文化回译的范畴。本文将从系统功能语言学的语境观出发,采用对比的研究方法来探讨《女勇士》两个译本中的文化回译现象及其不同翻译方法背后的缘由,以求实现文化元素在语言形式与文化内涵上的准确回归,进而对中国文化与形象进行自我审视与认知提升,为促进中西文学文化的深入交流与文明互鉴创造条件。考虑到文化回译过程中语境因素的复杂性,笔者首先结合胡壮麟的语境理论框架与韩礼德对情景语境（语域）的具体划分与阐述建立了一个文化回译的语境分析模型,涉及上下文语境、情景语境与文化语境三大范畴。上下文语境指的是语篇的内部环境,即语言自身的环境;情景语境指的是语篇产生时的周围情况、事件的性质、参与者的关系、时间、地点、方式等,即韩礼德所说的语域概念,包括语场、语旨...
