约翰·多斯·帕索斯《曼哈顿中转站》的互文性解读

本文主要运用互文性理论来分析美国三十年代著名小说家约翰·多斯·帕索斯的小说《曼哈顿中转站》与多个互文本之间的指涉关系,揭示出互文性理论对丰富小说内涵,加深小说意义方面起到的重要作用。《曼哈顿中转站》是美国文学史上最具有原创意义和实验性的一部作品;同时作为约翰·多斯·帕索斯的第一部代表作,《曼哈顿中转站》以其创新性在美国三十年代文学中独树一帜。小说文本中丰富的互文表现形态提供了对其进行互文性解读的可能性。本文通过分析互文手段—拼贴,暗指,引用,仿作等具体方式在文本意义生成与解读过程当中的功能来揭示小说的互文特色。本文第一部分简要介绍了约翰·多斯·帕索斯的文学地位及其代表作《曼哈顿中转站》,同时纵向梳理互文性理论的学渊系谱,勾勒互文性理论生成、发展、嬗变的轨迹。第二部分通过拼贴、引用、暗指、仿作等互文手段揭示出小说的互文特色—通俗艺术的拼贴、立体主义的叙事方式、《圣经》故事的重述、对经典文学的模仿等。结论部分指出,在对《曼哈顿中转站》的互文性解读过程中,作者通过分析使读者重新思考了《曼哈顿中转站》,同时互文性阅读构建出大量互文关系使小说具有极高的艺术性;从而为对现代小说的研究提供一条新的道...
