【摘要】: 黑格尔认为,艺术、宗教和哲学说到底都是关于绝对精神的,所不同的地方只是揭示和认识绝对精神的形式有别,其中艺术是绝对精神自我认识的最初阶段,它必然要过渡到宗教和哲学的认识形式。黑格尔把本来由物质发展到一定阶段派生出来的精神,看作先于物质而存在的客观的“绝对理念”,并认为自然和社会,整个世界都是由“绝对理念”外化出来的,派生出来的。也就是说,从纯粹的哲学前提能够推出历史的轮廓或大致结构,整个世界都是从绝对理念的运动过程中产生出来的。艺术,属于黑格尔哲学体系中艺术哲学即美学的研究范围。黑格尔的文艺史哲学在《精神现象学》中已初步形成,后来在《美学》中又作了进一步阐发和充实。黑格尔把系统方法与历史方法结合起来考察艺术的分类及其生成、发展、解体史,改变了仅以视听或时空等艺术分类法偏重于艺术的传达媒介或表现方式对艺术进行平列的简单分类模式,并从艺术在历史上的发展顺序阐述文艺史的过程。他认为,理念(内容)与形式相分离,相互只有外在象征关系时,形成象征型艺术,其代表为古代东方艺术;理念找到对应的合适形式,意义与形象自由统一时,艺术进入古典型艺术,其典范是古希腊艺术;理念重新扬弃、超越感性形式时,出现浪漫型艺术,,罗马帝国至近代的艺术均属此列;就艺术门类由低级到高级的发展趋势看,理念内容与感性形象的这种矛盾关系决定了由建筑→雕刻→绘画→音乐→诗,诗由史诗→抒情诗→戏剧诗,戏剧诗由悲剧→喜剧→正剧的发展序列。黑格尔认为,无论从逻辑概念还是存在或出现的次第来说,建筑都是一门最早的艺术,高惕式建筑是建筑艺术发展的高峰。音乐艺术的精神性比绘画更强,诗艺是浪漫型艺术的最高阶段,也是全部艺术门类中最高的形式。这种宏伟的历史观,在他的《美学》、《精神现象学》等著作中的展开,就形成了他的艺术史哲学。黑格尔预言,艺术的未来趋于解体。这些论述使黑格尔的《美学》超越于历史方法论的层次而显现出艺术史哲学的构架,缘于此,《美学》整个篇幅中都或多或少赋予了一定的历史内容。正是逻辑与历史统一方法的应用,使得黑格尔艺术史哲学贯穿在整个《美学》之中而使之成为了一部艺术史专著。用理念自我运动来解释艺术史固然失之荒谬,但把文艺史看成思想内容(理念)与感性形式矛盾运动的历史,即一定的内容决定和生成一定的形式,内容的发展突破旧形式的束缚而创造出新的与内容适合的形式,这样一个不断新陈代谢的过程。这是抓住了艺术史发展内部规律的。
