诗人译者的主体性—评王红公英译苏轼诗词

【摘要】：译者,翻译活动中最活跃的因素,长期隐形于传统翻译研究的视域中。随着20世纪70年代的“文化转向”,翻译研究越来越多地关注译者在翻译这一跨文化交际活动中的地位和作用。译者逐渐从翻译舞台的边缘位置步入中心位置。作为一位杰出的诗人译者,肯尼斯·雷克思罗斯(即“王红公”)长期致力于中华文化和中国文学在西方世界的传播。他的译者主体性体现在他的诗歌翻译理论和翻译实践活动上。然而,与其诗歌创作不同,他的诗歌翻译并未获得学术界的足够关注。本论文可被视为改变此状况的一次学术尝试。在目的论和改写／操纵理论的支持下,本文通过对雷克思罗斯的翻译理念、翻译策略以及苏轼诗词翻译实践的案例研究,对于其在诗歌翻译中所体现的译者主体性进行了探讨。本论文共分为五章。第一章简要介绍了本文的研究意义、研究方法及全文结构。第二章综述以往国内外学界关于译者主体性的研究和对于雷克思罗斯诗歌翻译的探讨。第三章主要研讨译者主体性的内涵和主要相关支持理论(目的论和改写／操纵理论),此外也对译者主体性的主要制约因素进行了讨论。第四章对于雷克思罗斯所翻译的苏轼诗词进行多方面分析,如翻译理念和策略、源文本的选择、意象和意境、韵律和节奏、句法和语篇等等。第五章对于以上讨论进行简要总结,并就如何充分发挥译者的主体性提出建议。
[Abstract]:The translator, the most active factor in the translation activities, long-term contact from the traditional perspective of translation studies. In 1970s with the "cultural turn" in translation studies, more and more attention to the status and role of the translator in the translation in intercultural communication. The translator's translation gradually from the edge of the stage position into the center position.
As a distinguished poet translator, Kenneth Reksyros ("Red King") the spread of long-term commitment to the Chinese culture and China literature in the western world. His translator's subjectivity reflected in his poetry translation theory and practice. However, with the creation of poetry, his poetry translation has not gained enough attention in academic circles. This paper can be seen as an attempt to change the status of academic research.
In support of the Skopos Theory and the rewriting / manipulation theory, this paper through the concept of translation of Rex Ross, translation strategy and case study of Su Shi's poetry translation practice, the embodied in poetry translation. The translator's subjectivity is discussed.
This paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter briefly introduces the significance of this study, research methods and structure of the thesis. The second chapter reviews the previous domestic and international research on the subjectivity of the translator and the Rex Ross poetry translation. The third chapter mainly studies the translator's subjectivity connotation and related theory (mainly the Skopos Theory and the rewriting theory) / manipulation of the translator's subjectivity, also the main restricting factors are discussed. The fourth chapter for Rex Ross's translation of Su Shi's poems by analyzing various aspects, such as translation concept and strategy, source text selection, imagery and mood, rhythm and rhythm, syntax and discourse and so on. The fifth chapter discussed above are briefly summarized, and puts forward suggestions on how to give full play to the subjectivity of the translator.
