论文学翻译过程中译者文化背景的介入

【摘要】：传统上，翻译活动一直被看作是两种语言之间的转换过程，因而翻译研究一直以语言分析和文本的对照为主要任务。而现在不少学者认为：把翻译看成是两种文化之间的一种交流活动更为确切。文化与语言的密切关系已成为大家的共识，文化与翻译的关系研究，也是方兴未艾。把翻译置于译者的文化背景下考察，我们发现，文化对翻译过程的影响无时不在。译者在翻译全过程中所做出的选择都是特定时空下文化制约的结果。任何译者都不是独立于特定的文化背景而存在的，在每个译者的头脑中都深深打着自己所处的社会的文化烙印。系统地研究和总结影响和制约译者在翻译过程中做出各种选择的文化因素，和译者的文化背景从哪些方面怎样对译者的翻译产生影响，对于揭示翻译活动的规律和丰富翻译理论有着非常重要的意义。本文正是基于这个目的对文学翻译过程中一些主要的译者的文化背景因素对译者的影响所进行的探讨。论文由六部分组成。一、引言。引言部分简要介绍了本文的研究视角和研究意义。二、传统翻译研究方法。这一部分简单介绍了两种传统的翻译研究方法：文艺美学方法和语言学方法。三、翻译研究的文化转向。这一部分说明了文化翻译观的兴起，和翻译研究方面的一个重要的趋向：把翻译视为文化的转换而非单纯的语际转换。四、译者文化背景对翻译过程的影响。这一部分论述了译者的文化背景因素影响和制约着译者的翻译动机、文本的选择、文本的理解与表达、翻译策略的选择与确定。五、制约翻译过程的译者诸文化因素。这一部分探讨了在译者的翻译中起制约作用的主要的文化因素：思维方式、审美标准、伦理观念、意识形态、文化态度和文学传统，以及其各自在什么方面对翻译产生影响。六、结论。本文的最后一部分说明文化的方方面面以不同的程度作用于翻译的过程，介入译者的选择，因而研究文化对翻译过程的影响会揭示出很多文学派和语言学派译论所没有或难于揭示的方面，从而加深我们对翻译实质的认识。
[Abstract]:Traditionally, translation activities have been regarded as a process of conversion between two languages, so the main task of translation studies is to analyze language and contrast texts. Now many scholars think that it is more accurate to regard translation as a kind of communication between two cultures. The close relationship between culture and language has become a common understanding, and the study of the relationship between culture and translation is also in the ascendant. Looking at translation in the translator's cultural context, we find that culture influences the process of translation all the time. The choices made by translators in the whole process of translation are the result of cultural constraints in specific time and space. Any translator does not exist independently of a specific cultural background, and each translator deeply embraces the cultural brand of his or her own society in his or her mind. This paper systematically studies and summarizes the cultural factors that influence and restrict the translator's choices in the process of translation, and how the translator's cultural background influences the translator's translation. It is of great significance to reveal the rules of translation activities and enrich translation theory. It is for this purpose that this paper explores the influence of some major cultural background factors on the translator in the process of literary translation. The thesis consists of six parts. First, introduction. The introduction briefly introduces the research perspective and significance of this paper. Second, traditional translation research methods. This part briefly introduces two traditional translation research methods: literary aesthetics and linguistics. Third, the cultural turn of translation studies. This part illustrates the rise of cultural translation and an important trend in translation studies: translation is viewed as a cultural shift rather than a purely interlingual one. Fourth, the influence of the translator's cultural background on the process of translation. This part discusses that the translator's cultural background influences and restricts the translator's translation motivation, the choice of the text, the understanding and expression of the text, and the choice and determination of the translation strategy. Fifth, the translator's cultural factors which restrict the process of translation. This part explores the major cultural factors that constrain the translator's translation: mode of thinking, aesthetic standards, ethics, ideology, cultural attitudes and literary traditions. And in what ways they have an impact on translation. VI. Conclusions In the last part of the thesis, it is explained that all aspects of culture play an important role in the process of translation to different degrees, and intervene in the choice of the translator. Therefore, the study of culture's influence on the process of translation reveals many aspects which have not been or are difficult to reveal in translation theories of literary and linguistic schools. From this point of view, we deepen our understanding of the essence of translation.
