小说翻译中的文体学方法

【摘要】:普遍认为,文学文体学与文学翻译密切关联,但大多数译者在翻译实践中并未真正结合此两者,以提升翻译实效。译者经常采用的所谓文体学的翻译方法也无非是其本人对文学作品中文体特征的直观感知,而缺乏一套可指导翻译实践、可实际操作、更加客观的文体学翻译方法。就文学作品尤其是小说作品而言,文体特征在很大程度上表现了小说本身的文学价值,因而对于以小说作品为对象的译者来说,恰当地处理小说作品中的文体特征关系到翻译之成败。本文试图从文学文体学的角度探讨小说翻译,并提出小说翻译中文体学方法应用的一致性、语境性、变异性、意图性和互文性等五大原则。并通过对简·奥斯丁的小说《傲慢与偏见》三个中译本的对比研究,进一步论证此五原则的可操作性。
[Abstract]:It is generally believed that literary stylistics is closely related to literary translation, but most translators do not really combine the two in translation practice in order to improve translation effectiveness. The so-called stylistic translation method often used by translators is no more than their own intuitive perception of the characteristics of Chinese style in literary works, but there is a lack of a set of translation methods which can guide translation practice, be practical, and be more objective in stylistic translation. As far as literary works, especially novels, are concerned, the stylistic features to a great extent represent the literary value of the novel itself. Proper handling of stylistic features in fiction works is related to the success or failure of translation. This paper attempts to explore novel translation from the perspective of literary stylistics, and puts forward five principles of the application of stylistic methods in fiction translation: consistency, contextuality, variability, intention and intertextuality. Through the contrastive study of three Chinese versions of Jane Austen's novel Pride and Prejudice, the maneuverability of these five principles is further demonstrated.
