论《荒野的呼唤》两个译本的互文性

【摘要】:互文性概念是朱利亚·克里斯蒂娃于二十世纪六十年代提出的。它是西方结构主义、解构主义思潮的现代文论中的一个重要术语。上世纪九十年代初期,互文性理论被引进翻译研究,使得翻译研究有了新的视角,同时也开辟了翻译研究的新领域。自从克里斯蒂娃提出这一概念以来,国内外众多翻译界理论家都曾致力于互文性的理论研究。《荒野的呼唤》是杰克·伦敦的代表作之一,也是他的成名作。在美国,这部小说每年都被作为阅读教材在高中和大学里讲授;在国内,这部小说的译本也是层出不穷。本文首先回顾了互文性理论及《荒野的呼唤》译本的研究现状,接着从互文性这一概念的理论来源着手,将互文性置身于翻译实践中,结合《荒野的呼唤》的两个译本(石雅芳译和吕艺红、简定宇译)及《荒野的呼唤》原文自身特点,揭示了互文性理论能够对译者理解原文本、恰当创造目的文本产生的积极作用,并填补了从互文性角度对比分析《荒野的呼唤》译本的空白。 本文主要由两大部分构成,笔者对全文内容共分六章进行具体阐述。第一部分是对互文性和翻译之间关系的探讨。第一章引言部分介绍了笔者选题的理论基础、本选题的意义和可行性,并介绍了本论文的研究目的。第二章给出与本选题相关的文献综述,包括对于《荒野的呼唤》、《荒野的呼唤》译本及互文性理论研究现状的综述。第三章回顾了互文性理论的起源和发展,以及不同学者对于“互文性”定义和范畴的划分。第四章简单介绍了原文作者杰克伦敦,两个译本的译者以及笔者自己对于《荒野的呼唤》的理解。 文章的第二部分则是笔者所选译本的个案分析。第五章在对《荒野的呼唤》中的互文元素进行简要描述和对翻译过程中处理互文标志进行基本探讨后,本章从体裁、情节和角色三方面对《荒野的呼唤》两个译本进行对比分析,研究两位译者在互文性的影响下,对互文标志采取的不同翻译策略。最后,在第六章结论部分,笔者指出,互文性理论能够指导译者利用互文知识实现使译文读者产生于原文读者等效反应的结论,互文性对于翻译实践的指导意义,值得作进一步的研究。
[Abstract]:The concept of intertextuality was put forward by Julia Cristina in the 1960's. It is an important term in modern literary theory of western structuralism and deconstruction. In the early 1990s, the theory of intertextuality was introduced into translation studies, which gave a new perspective to translation studies and opened up a new field of translation studies. Since Kristeva put forward this concept, many translation theorists at home and abroad have devoted themselves to the theoretical study of intertextuality. Call of the Wilderness is one of Jack London's masterpieces and his famous work. In the United States, the novel is taught every year as a reading textbook in high schools and universities, and there are numerous translations of the novel in China. This paper first reviews the current situation of the study of intertextuality and the translation of the call of the Wild, and then proceeds from the theoretical source of the concept of intertextuality and places intertextuality in translation practice. Combined with the two versions of call of the Wilderness (translated by Shi Yafang and Lu Yihong and Jian Dingyu) and the original text of the call of the Wild, it is revealed that the theory of intertextuality can understand the original text to the translator. Appropriate creation of the positive role of the text, and fill in the intertextuality point of view of comparative analysis of the call of the wilderness translation of the blank. This paper is mainly composed of two parts, the author of the full text is divided into six chapters for specific elaboration. The first part discusses the relationship between intertextuality and translation. The first chapter introduces the theoretical basis of the topic, the significance and feasibility of the topic, and introduces the purpose of this paper. The second chapter gives a literature review related to this topic, including the call of the Wild, and the current situation of the intertextuality theory. Chapter three reviews the origin and development of intertextuality theory, and the definitions and categories of intertextuality by different scholars. Chapter four briefly introduces the author Jack London, the translators of the two translations and the author's own understanding of the call of the Wilderness. The second part of the article is the case study of the translation selected by the author. Chapter five, after briefly describing the intertextuality elements in the call of the Wilderness and the basic discussion of dealing with the intertextuality in the process of translation, this chapter starts with the genre. This paper makes a contrastive analysis of the two versions of call of the Wilderness in terms of plot and character, and studies the different translation strategies adopted by the two translators under the influence of intertextuality. Finally, in the concluding part of Chapter 6, the author points out that intertextuality theory can guide the translator to use intertextuality knowledge to realize the conclusion that the target reader produces the equivalent reaction of the target reader, and the instructive significance of intertextuality to translation practice. It is worth further study.
