从翻译美学角度看《庄子》的意境传递

【摘要】:在世界全球化的潮流下,中国典籍成为频繁的中西文化交流中主要的研究对象之一。本文拟从中国翻译美学角度出发,系统探讨中国著名典籍《庄子》在其英译过程中意境传递的问题。 就中国译学而言,美学对翻译理论具有特殊的意义,翻译与美学联姻是中国翻译理论的重要特色之一。翻译美学提出翻译的审美客体与审美主体的基本属性,在此基础上提供翻译中审美再现的类型和手段,在翻译实践中具有指导意义。 作为中国道家哲学的重要文本,《庄子》以其优美的语言风格及深刻的故事内涵而深受读者喜爱和传颂。其中,《庄子》的意境是其文章的重要灵魂,它通过对客观事物的描述营造出深刻且富有启迪的意境氛围,对人生观问题有很深刻的影响,也是阅读文本时读者能体会到的重要因素。众所周知,在文学翻译中,意境的翻译是十分重要且不容忽略的,意境内涵的复杂性给意境的准确传递增加了很大难度。意境恰恰是中国美学研究领域的一个重要范畴,也是中国翻译领域力求传达给外语读者的一个重要因素,它是艺术形象与它引发的想象的综合。意境美的实现不仅依赖微观形式美的传递,而且需要表达意境的情感、意象及象外之象等宏观方面的基本要素。本文从中国翻译美学角度出发,以汪榕培与华兹生所译《庄子》为例,从宏观与微观方面分析《庄子》文本这一审美客体的美学因素,在此基础上探究《庄子》意境翻译的实现问题。
[Abstract]:Under the trend of the globalization of the world, Chinese classics have become one of the main research objects in the frequent cultural exchanges between China and the West. From the perspective of Chinese translation aesthetics, this paper discusses systematically the transmission of artistic conception in the process of translating Zhuangzi, a famous Chinese classic, into English. As far as Chinese translatology is concerned, aesthetics is of special significance to translation theory, and the marriage of translation and aesthetics is one of the important features of Chinese translation theory. Translation aesthetics puts forward the basic attributes of aesthetic object and subject in translation and provides the types and means of aesthetic representation in translation which is of guiding significance in translation practice. As an important text of Chinese Taoist philosophy, Zhuangzi is loved and praised by readers for its beautiful language style and profound story connotation. Among them, the artistic conception of Zhuangzi is the important soul of his article. It creates a profound and enlightening atmosphere through the description of objective things, and has a profound influence on the outlook on life. It is also an important factor that readers can realize when reading a text. As we all know, in literary translation, the translation of artistic conception is very important and can not be ignored, the complexity of the connotation of artistic conception makes the accurate transmission of artistic conception more difficult. Artistic conception is an important category in the field of Chinese aesthetics, and it is also an important factor in the field of Chinese translation to convey to foreign language readers. It is a synthesis of artistic image and imagination. The realization of artistic conception beauty not only depends on the transmission of microscopic formal beauty, but also needs to express the basic elements of macroscopic aspects such as emotion of artistic conception, image and image outside image. From the perspective of Chinese translation aesthetics, this paper, taking Zhuangzi translated by Wang Rongpei and Wordson as an example, analyzes the aesthetic factors of the aesthetic object of Zhuangzi's text from the macro and micro aspects. On this basis, this paper explores the realization of artistic conception translation in Zhuangzi.
