林语堂：辨证主义翻译理论家和实践家

　　鉴于中西文化的巨大差异,笔者认为适合中国国情的译论体系建设离不开对中国传统译论的梳理和再发现以及对中国译者翻译实践的研究,所以,笔者在此选取文化交流大使林语堂作为研究论题,希望通过对其翻译理论及实践的研究,为此做出自己的贡献。笔者认为,林语堂的翻译理论实际上已形成了一个相对完整的辩证体系。他较早地认识到了译者以及译文读者在翻译过程中的重要作用,因此他以不同于前人及同代人态度,将译者和译文读者纳入了其翻译理论论述范围之内。换言之,林语堂的翻译理论涉及了翻译过程的几个重要因素,包括原文、译者、译文读者和译文。而在对这些因素进行论述时,林语堂的态度可谓辩证而中肯。一方面,作为翻译出发点的原文必须得到尊重,所以译文应忠实于原文。另一方面,由于百分百忠实不具有操作性而译文又是为译文读者服务的,所以译文在忠实的同时还应符合译文读者的阅读习惯。至于译者,一方面,受其实际能力和个人观念的影响,他在原文解读和译文创作过程中必然具有一定的主观性,所以他是译文产生过程中的一个主观决定因素;另一方面,由于原文在翻译活动中具有重要地位,且原文译文两个语言文化系统之间的差异有时甚至不可跨越,所以译者对译文的影响力...
