概念整合理论视角下幽默口译的认知研究

【摘要】:随着国际化进程的逐步加深,口译活动在世界范围内变得日益频繁。在工作中,口译员经常需要翻译发言人为了达到好的语言效果所使用的幽默语。在翻译时要在目的语表达中兼顾源语意思与幽默效果,这使得口译工作的难度与挑战性均加大了。本文从认知语言学中的概念整合理论出发,基于理论与实例的结合对幽默语口译的认知过程进行分析,探讨了该类型语言进行口译时所经历的两个认知阶段,即理解与重构阶段。在第一阶段,口译员需要理解发言人的幽默语。此理解过程就是概念整合的过程,即口译受众的预期和实际接收到的语言构成两个输入空间,为概念整合提供“原材料”,根据信息不协调而致幽默的理论,预期与实际接收语言这两者之间的“不协调”是幽默效果产生、受众因获取到意外的语言信息,进而导致受众发笑的原因。输入空间与由其共有元素特征构成的类属空间共同合作,确保且制约投射的进行,投射的结果在整合空间里形成层创结构,这一新产生的结构可以总结成:为什么好笑?第一阶段产生的层创结构进而作为“概念结构”随后进入第二阶段的概念整合。在幽默语口译的传达阶段,概念结构和源语及源语文化构成一个输入空间,概念结构是该输入空间的框架(frame),是源语意义的核心;另一个由目的语、目的语文化以及译员口译能力构成的输入空间被称为“口译员空间”,口译员在口译时,需要根据幽默的类型决定是否需要在口译员空间内建立新的框架。在概念整合时,输入空间的框架被选择性的投射到整合空间,产生层创结构,即目的语表达的幽默。 本文共分为六章,第一章介绍了研究背景、研究目的以及研究意义;第二章对幽默语研究、口译研究和概念整合研究进行了文献综述;第三章是论文的理论框架,详细介绍了概念整合理论并基于该理论提出口译的认知过程,第四章借用不协调理论对幽默语进行分类,解释了幽默语表达的三种机制,并讨论如何通过概念整合实现对幽默语的理解;第五章从概念整合的角度分析了幽默语口译的产出过程,提出了幽默口译的认知模型,探讨了四种概念整合网的应用范围,在第四章和第五章均进行了举例分析;第六章对全文进行总结,得出结论、分析研究的不足,对未来研究提出建议。
[Abstract]:With the gradual deepening of the internationalization process, interpreting activities are becoming more and more frequent around the world. At work, interpreters often need to translate humorous words used by speakers in order to achieve good language effects. In translation, both the source meaning and the humorous effect should be taken into account, which makes interpreting more difficult and challenging. Based on the conceptual integration theory in cognitive linguistics, this paper analyzes the cognitive process of humor interpreting based on the combination of theory and case, and discusses the two cognitive stages of interpreting in this type of language. That is, the stage of understanding and reconstruction. In the first stage, interpreters need to understand the humorous language of the speaker. This process of understanding is the process of conceptual integration, that is, the expectation of the audience and the language actually received constitute two input spaces, which provide the "raw material" for the conceptual integration and lead to humor according to the uncoordinated information. The "disharmony" between the expected language and the actual receiving language is the result of humor effect, and the audience gets unexpected language information, which leads to the audience laughing. The input space cooperates with the generic space which is composed of its common element features to ensure and restrict the projection. The projection results create the cambium in the integrated space. This new structure can be summed up as: why is funny? The first stage of the formation of the structure as a "conceptual structure" and then into the second stage of conceptual integration. In the communication stage of humorous interpretation, conceptual structure, source language and source culture constitute an input space, the conceptual structure is the frame of the input space (frame), is the core of the source language meaning, and the other is the target language. The input space composed of target culture and interpreter's interpretation ability is called "interpreter space". When interpreting, interpreters need to decide whether a new framework should be built in the interpreter's space according to the type of humor. In conceptual integration, the frame of input space is selectively projected into the integration space, resulting in a hierarchical structure, that is, humor expressed in the target language. The thesis is divided into six chapters. The first chapter introduces the background, purpose and significance of the study; the second chapter reviews the research of humor, interpretation and conceptual integration; the third chapter is the theoretical framework of the thesis. The conceptual integration theory is introduced in detail and the cognitive process of interpreting is proposed based on the theory. Chapter four classifies humorous words by using the theory of disharmony and explains the three mechanisms of humorous expression. The fifth chapter analyzes the production process of humorous interpretation from the perspective of conceptual integration, puts forward the cognitive model of humorous interpretation, and discusses the application scope of four conceptual integration networks. In the fourth and fifth chapters, examples are given. Chapter six summarizes the full text, draws a conclusion, analyzes the shortcomings of the research, and puts forward some suggestions for the future research.
