大学生日常恭维语及其回应策略的性别差异研究

【摘要】:恭维语是我们日常生活中比较常见的一种礼貌的言语行为。它具有丰富的社会功能。同时,其应答语也是社会交际活动的重要组成部分。应答语主要是指人们在受到外界积极评价时所做出的反应。不同的文化和语言环境的人对恭维和恭维的应答方式会有所不同。但恭维语对维护和谐的人际关系和社会稳定都发挥了重要的作用。 恭维语一直是语言学家研究的热点,但是针对汉语语境的恭维语的使用和应答模式,尤其是大学生恭维语的特点的研究还不是很多。本文主要通过问卷调查,以言语行为理论和礼貌原则为基础,来分析探讨大学生日常恭维语使用的性别差异情况。 本文的主体部分分为四章:第一章主要介绍恭维语及其应答的相关内容,包括恭维语及其应答的定义,恭维的话题及策略。其中恭维的话题包括对个人外貌的称赞,对个人能力的称赞,对个人所有物的称赞。根据Ye(1995)的分类,恭维的策略分为直接恭维,间接恭维,不恭维和没有反应这四种类型。恭维回应策略分为接受策略,接受加修正策略,不接受策略,没有反应和混合策略这五种策略。 第二章是研究的理论部分,其中包括言语行为理论,以及Brown和Levinson(1978)的礼貌原则。中国人在交谈中为了保住面子的最好办法是使用礼貌用语,顾曰国也提出了一系列礼貌原则。 第三章主要对恭维语及其应答做了具体的研究,包括研究方法,问卷的设计,数据的收集及分析。 第四章主要分析讨论研究结果,其中包括相同性别和不同性别之间的恭维,人们对不同话题的恭维,不同社会地位的恭维及对恭维做出的反应。 文章的最后为结论部分。 大学生在恭维语及恭维回应语的使用上存在着性别差异,其原因在于男女的社会地位不同。中国社会男尊女卑的思想一直影响着人们,这也导致女性倾向于使用礼貌的语言。虽然可能与中国传统观念的谦虚相矛盾,但这也是与西方文化的一种融合。礼貌并不代表要一味地拒绝,有时大方的接受别人的恭维也是一种礼貌的行为表现。
[Abstract]:Compliment is a kind of polite speech act which is more common in our daily life. It has rich social functions. At the same time, the responder is also an important part of social communication. Responders mainly refer to people's reactions when they are positively evaluated by the outside world. People in different cultures and languages respond differently to compliments and compliments. However, compliments play an important role in maintaining harmonious interpersonal relations and social stability. Compliments have always been the focus of linguists, but the use and response patterns of compliments in Chinese context, especially the characteristics of flattery in college students, have not been studied much. Based on the theory of speech act and politeness principle, this paper analyzes the gender differences in the use of flattery in college students. The main part of this paper is divided into four chapters: the first chapter mainly introduces the relevant content of compliment and its response, including the definition of compliment and its response, the topic and strategy of compliment. Compliments include praise for personal appearance, personal ability, and personal possessions. According to Ye (1995), the strategy of flattery is divided into four types: direct compliment, indirect compliment, non-compliment and non-response. Compliment response strategy is divided into five strategies: acceptance strategy, acceptance plus correction strategy, non-acceptance strategy, no reaction strategy and mixed strategy. The second chapter is the theoretical part of the study, including speech act theory, and the politeness principle of Brown and Levinson (1978). The best way for Chinese to save face in conversation is to use polite language. Gu Yueguo also put forward a series of politeness principles. The third chapter focuses on compliments and their responses, including research methods, questionnaire design, data collection and analysis. The fourth chapter mainly analyzes the research results, including the same gender and different gender compliments, people's compliments to different topics, different social status of the compliment and the response to the compliment. The last part of the article is the conclusion. There are gender differences in the use of compliment and compliment response among college students, which is due to the different social status of men and women. The inferiority of men and women in Chinese society has always influenced people, which leads to women's tendency to use polite language. Although it may contradict the modesty of Chinese traditional ideas, it is also a fusion with western culture. Politeness does not mean refusal. Sometimes accepting compliments is also a behavior of politeness.
