就中美南海问题新闻报道的批评语篇分析

【摘要】：批评语篇分析(Critical Discourse Analysis)是一种以韩礼德的系统功能语法(Systemic-Functional Grammar)为主要理论根据,以研究社会语篇为导向的语篇分析方法,它旨在通过大众语篇来解释语篇中所隐含的意识形态和权利关系,同时揭示语篇对意识形态的反作用。本文从批评性语篇分析的角度研究了新闻媒体报道中的表征现象,并探讨了语篇结构与意识形态结构之间的辩证关系。中国南海问题的争端从上世纪的七十年代开始,至今已有四十年的历史。在这四十年里,中国的发展壮大和国际影响力的逐渐扩大,使得南海问题已经从领土争端扩展到了政治,经济,军事,外交等多个方面。本文从《中国日报》和《纽约时报》中选取12篇有关南海问题的新闻报道进行分析,利用费尔克拉夫的三向度模式(Three-Dimensional Model)和韩礼德的系统功能语法(Systemic-Functional Grammar)对新闻语篇中意识形态的倾向性进行了定性和定量的分析。论文主要从三个层面进行分析。在文本层面,从及物性系统和情态的角度分析了所选新闻报道的语言特征；在话语实践层面,通过对语篇的新闻来源和转述方式,再现了新闻语篇的生成过程。在社会实践层面,结合特定的政治,经济和社会文化背景对新闻语篇中的意识形态在文本层次和话语层次的选择进行了解释。通过各个层面的系统的分析最终得出中美记者在撰写新闻稿件中的意识形态差异,进而讨论了语言和意识形态的辩证关系。
[Abstract]:Critical discourse Analysis (Critical Discourse Analysis) is a discourse analysis method based on Halliday's systematic functional Grammar (Systemic-Functional Grammar) and social discourse. It aims to explain the relationship between ideology and rights implied in the discourse by means of mass discourse, and to reveal the reaction of the discourse to ideology at the same time. From the perspective of critical discourse analysis, this paper studies the phenomenon of representation in news media reports and discusses the dialectical relationship between discourse structure and ideological structure. The dispute over the South China Sea began in the 1970 s and has a history of 40 years. In the past four decades, with the development of China and the gradual expansion of international influence, the South China Sea issue has expanded from territorial disputes to political, economic, military, diplomatic and other aspects. This paper analyzes 12 news reports on the South China Sea from the China Daily and the New York Times. Based on Felke's three dimensional Model (Three-Dimensional Model) and Halliday's systemic functional Grammar (Systemic-Functional Grammar), this paper makes a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the tendency of ideology in news discourse. The thesis is mainly analyzed from three aspects. At the text level, this paper analyzes the linguistic characteristics of the selected news reports from the perspective of transitivity system and modality, and reproduces the process of news discourse generation by means of the news sources and reporting methods of the discourses in the practical level of discourse. At the level of social practice, the choice of ideology in news discourse at the textual level and the discourse level is explained in combination with specific political, economic and social cultural backgrounds. The ideological differences between Chinese and American journalists in writing news articles are finally obtained through systematic analysis at various levels, and the dialectical relationship between language and ideology is discussed.
