近代英国来华传教士马礼逊的汉语教材研究

【摘要】:本文以19世纪初英国来华传教士马礼逊(Robert Morrison)的两部汉语教材《通用汉言之法》(AGrammar of the Chinese Language)和《中文会话及凡例》(Dialogues and Detached Sentences in the Chinese Language)为研究对象,对其教学内容、编排原则、教学理念的利弊与得失加以分析,以拓展对外汉语教材研究的范围,并力图为今后对外汉语教材编写和教学实践提供借鉴。 本文主要分为四个部分: 第1章是绪论,主要介绍本文的选题意义、研究现状、研究计划及以两部教材为例进行研究的原因。其中,选题意义主要介绍、研究马礼逊汉语教材的原因和价值;研究现状主要分析到目前为止《通用汉言之法》和《中文会话及凡例》研究中取得的成就及存在的不足,并厘清我们的研究方向;研究计划,包括研究目标和研究方法两部分,主要交代本文所要达到的预期结果及研究中用到的具体方法。同时,通过对两部教材各自历史地位和两者间继承性的分析,确定了以此为研究对象的必要性及价值。 第2章为主体部分,系统分析《通用汉言之法》的体例概况,,以教材内容为依据,详细介绍语音、文字、语法等部分。在“汉语拼写”中,主要介绍了音节表、声调和汉字的书写等内容;在语法中,主要介绍八种词类,即名词、形容词、代词、动词、副词、介词、连词、叹词,针对马礼逊的对词类的划分,我们还试图探求《通用汉言之法》在词类划分方面的特点;在方言中,主要介绍了官话与方言的不同、广州方言的几个特点等内容;在韵律上,内容涉及《诗经》、五言诗和七言诗、诗以外的其他体裁。同时,在每一小节后总结其内容如编排设置、语料选取等方面上的利弊得失及是否有利于对外汉语教学等内容。在这一部分,本文试图以全方位的视角,对《通用汉言之法》进行细致研究。 第3章同样为主体部分,首先对《中文会话及凡例》的全书概况作详细介绍;然后对教材的主体部分从话题选择、语料来源、交际角色设定、语法注释等方面进行分析阐述;同时,对教材后补充的名言警句和重量、测量常识简要介绍。文中每一部分后面也总结其内容如编排、语料上的利弊得失及是否有利于对外汉语教学等,并对该教材的优劣进行整体评价。 第4章评定马礼逊汉语教材的价值。这一部分主要探讨两个问题:一是总结马礼逊汉语教材的编写观;二是分析对此后汉语教材编写和对外汉语教学实践的借鉴。本文试图通过对两部汉语教材的分析,对马礼逊的汉语教材编写有一个全面客观的评价。 总之,本文希望通过对《通用汉言之法》和《中文会话及凡例》的研究,论述马礼逊汉语教材所体现的编写观,同时揭示其汉语教材的价值所在。
[Abstract]:In this paper, two Chinese textbooks, (AGrammar of the Chinese Language) and (Dialogues and Detached Sentences in the Chinese Language), written by (Robert Morrison), a British missionary in China in the early 19th century, are taken as the research objects, and their teaching contents are discussed. The principles of arrangement, the advantages and disadvantages of teaching ideas, and the gains and losses are analyzed in order to expand the scope of research on teaching materials for Chinese as a foreign language, and try hard to provide reference for the compilation and teaching practice of textbooks for foreign languages in the future. This paper is divided into four parts: the first chapter is the introduction, mainly introduces the significance of the topic, the current research situation, the research plan and the two teaching materials as an example of the reasons for the study. Among them, this paper mainly introduces the significance of the topic, and studies the reasons and values of the teaching materials of Malison Chinese; The status quo of the research mainly analyzes the achievements and shortcomings in the research of "General Chinese language method" and "Chinese conversation and Common examples" so far, and clarifies the direction of our research. The research plan, including the research objectives and research methods, mainly describes the expected results to be achieved in this paper and the specific methods used in the study. At the same time, through the analysis of the historical status and inheritance of the two textbooks, the necessity and value of taking the two textbooks as the object of study are determined. The second chapter is the main part, systematically analyzes the general situation of the general method of Chinese language, and introduces the phonetics, characters, grammar and so on in detail based on the content of the teaching material. In "Chinese spelling", it mainly introduces the phonograph, tone and the writing of Chinese characters and so on. In grammar, it mainly introduces eight types of words, that is, nouns, adjectives, pronouns, verbs, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, and exclamations. We also try to explore the characteristics of the division of parts of speech in the General method of Chinese language; In dialects, it mainly introduces the difference between mandarin and dialect, several characteristics of Guangzhou dialect and so on; in the prosody, the content involves the Book of songs, five-character poems and seven-character poems, and other genres other than poems. At the same time, after each section, it summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of its contents, such as arrangement, material selection and so on, and whether it is beneficial to teaching Chinese as a foreign language. In this part, this paper attempts to make a detailed study of the General Chinese language method from an all-round perspective. The third chapter is also the main part, first of all, it gives a detailed introduction to the whole book of Chinese conversation and examples, and then analyzes the subject part of the textbook from the aspects of topic selection, corpus source, communicative role setting, grammatical annotation and so on. At the same time, a brief introduction is given to the maxim and weight of the textbook and the common sense of measurement. Each part of the paper also summarizes its contents such as arrangement, the advantages and disadvantages of the corpus and whether it is conducive to teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and evaluates the merits and demerits of the textbook as a whole. The fourth chapter evaluates the value of the teaching material of Malison Chinese. This part mainly discusses two problems: one is to sum up the compilation view of the teaching materials of Malison Chinese; the other is to analyze the reference to the compilation of Chinese teaching materials and the teaching practice of Chinese as a foreign language. Through the analysis of two Chinese textbooks, this paper attempts to have a comprehensive and objective evaluation on the compilation of Malrison's Chinese textbooks. In a word, this paper hopes to discuss the compilation view embodied in Malrison's Chinese textbooks and reveal the value of his Chinese textbooks through the study of "General Chinese language method" and "Chinese conversation and Common examples".
