明示—推理模式下口译中隐含意义研究

【摘要】:将口译过程视为一种意义传递过程的研究已经基本被国内外学术界认可,也已形成比较完善的理论基础。但是隐含意义在口译中的传递和处理却是个没有深入涉及的方面。一些学者和翻译家在研究口译意义传递的过程中对口译中的隐含意义有所提及,一些学者也对此发表过相关文章,然而大多数此类研究多是经验、技巧的总结,或从语言形式上进行笼统的分析概括,少有针对隐含意义的详细理论研究。 本论文将以关联理论中的明示—推理模式作为研究口译中隐含意义的理论框架。明示—推理模式把人类交际行为阐释为一种由明示到推理的过程,即说话人的明示和听话人的推理,是人际动态交际的实质。这一特质正好与口译作为一种特殊的、动态的语言交际活动的特点相符。明示—推理模式将人们在认知语境帮助下的认知环境与互明作为交际能够顺利进行的基础,这也将成为本文分析口译中隐含意义的理论基础。这也是本文的创新之处之一。 同一话语的不同语言版本很难有完全重合的显性意义和隐性意义。然而属于字面的显性意义必须得到暗含的相关隐含意义的补充才能充分表达出话语的完整意义。根据明示—推理模式,发话人在信息明示的同时还要求听话人在认知环境的基础上去推导发话人的意图。本文将这种模式应用到口译的隐含意义传递过程中,即由一个二元交际模式转变为一个三元交际模式。发话人在明示过程中,向对方也发出了其话语中的隐含意义,此时译员为发话人的听话人,通过推理得到其话语中的隐含意义,然后再以目标语发话人的身份将话语隐含意义明示给目标语听众。对于译员来说,隐含意义不仅是需要译员推导出来以更好理解说话人意图的意义,也是译员在口译的过程中需要明示的意义。 本论文研究的重点即将口译中的隐含意义的传递置入明示—推理模式,用明示—推理这种交际模式来分析在口译过程中,哪些因素可能会影响译员推理说话人话语中隐含意义,并且在此基础上尝试提出如何对隐含意义进行明示的处理建议,旨在为口译中的隐含意义研究开辟一个新的视角。
[Abstract]:The study of interpreting process as a process of meaning transfer has been recognized by domestic and foreign academic circles and has formed a relatively perfect theoretical basis. However, the transmission and treatment of implicit meaning in interpretation is not involved in depth. Some scholars and translators have mentioned the implicit meaning in interpretation in the process of studying meaning transfer in interpretation, and some scholars have published relevant articles on it. However, most of these studies are summary of experience and skills. Or from the language form to carry on the general analysis summary, few has the detailed theoretical research to the implicature meaning. This paper takes the explicit-inferential model in relevance theory as the theoretical framework for the study of implied meaning in interpretation. The explicit-inferential model interprets human communicative behavior as a process from explicit to inferential, that is, the speaker's manifest and the hearer's reasoning, which is the essence of interpersonal dynamic communication. This trait is in line with the characteristics of interpretation as a special and dynamic language communication activity. The explicit-inferential model takes people's cognitive environment and mutual understanding with the help of cognitive context as the basis for smooth communication, which will also be the theoretical basis for the analysis of implied meaning in interpretation. This is also one of the innovations of this paper. It is difficult for different language versions of the same discourse to have fully coincident explicit and implicit meanings. However, the literal explicit meaning must be supplemented by the implied implicit meaning in order to fully express the complete meaning of the discourse. According to the explicit-reasoning model, the addressee also requires the hearer to deduce the addressee's intention on the basis of cognitive environment. This paper applies this model to the process of implicit meaning transfer in interpretation, that is, from a dual communicative model to a ternary communicative model. In the process of being explicit, the speaker also sends out the implicit meaning in his / her words. At this time, the interpreter is the listener of the addressee, and through reasoning, the implicit meaning in his / her discourse can be obtained. Then, as the speaker of the target language, the implicit meaning of the speech is expressed to the audience of the target language. For an interpreter, implicit meaning is not only a need for an interpreter to infer out the meaning of the speaker's intention, but also an explicit meaning for an interpreter in the process of interpreting. The emphasis of this thesis is to put the implicit meaning in interpretation into the explicit-inferential mode, and to analyze which factors may affect the implied meaning in the interpreter's inferential speaker's discourse by using the explicit-inferential communicative model in the process of interpreting. On this basis, the author tries to put forward some suggestions on how to deal with implicit meaning explicitly, in order to open up a new perspective for the study of implicit meaning in interpretation.
