求职类节目中求职者言语缓和策略的顺应性研究

【摘要】:本文的研究对象是求职类综艺节目中求职者的言语缓和策略。作者总结了求职者的言语缓和策略,对其进行分类,并对其进行定性研究,旨在揭示运用言语缓和策略的原因及其功能。 根据Caffi对言语缓和的分类标准,本文将求职者的言语缓和策略分为三类,即命题模糊语(bushes),语力模糊语(hedges)和保护语(shields)。研究发现,求职者主要通过命题模糊语(包括弱陈述和模态词)来降低命题内容的精确性,以减缓负面效果;通过语力模糊语(包括主观语,事实申明语,自贬语和犹豫话语)来弱化施为力度,,以减少听话者接受话语的责任;通过保护语(包括理据语和假设条件句)来隐藏话语的真实来源和转移话题中心以减少说话者自身的话语责任和对听话者造成的面子威胁。本研究还发现弱陈述、模态词和主观语运用的最频繁,总体而言,成功的案例中求职者所用的言语缓和策略多于失败案例中的使用情况。 同时,基于维索尔伦的顺应论,本研究探索了言语缓和策略的顺应因素,主要包括心理因素和社交因素和物理因素。心理因素方面,研究发现说话者是为了顺应听话者的意图,听话者可能产生的负面情绪,以及说话者自身对面子维护的愿望。同时,社交方面,说话者主要顺应面试者的权势,以及一些社会品德,如谦虚,诚实等。物理因素主要涉及时空因素。 另外,作者发现,言语缓和策略产生了一些语用功能,正是这些功能帮助说话者实现交际目的。这些功能主要包括三个方面,即增强双方之间关系,自我保护和说服。 总之,本文主要对求职者常用的言语缓和策略,这些策略的产生原因以及语用功能进行了分析。作者希望更多学者能够从更深层次对该领域进行研究。
[Abstract]:The research object of this paper is the speech mitigation strategy of job seekers in job-seeking variety show. The author summarizes and classifies the verbal mitigation strategies of job seekers, and makes a qualitative study of them in order to reveal the reasons and functions of using verbal palliative strategies. According to Caffi's classification criteria for speech relaxation, this paper classifies the speech mitigation strategies of job seekers into three categories: propositional fuzziness, (bushes), fuzzy language, (hedges), and protective language, (shields). It is found that job seekers reduce the accuracy of proposition content by means of propositional ambiguity (including weak statements and modal words) in order to slow down the negative effects. Through the use of vague language (including subjective, factual declarative, self-derogatory and hesitant discourse), the power of giving is weakened, so as to reduce the hearer's responsibility to accept the discourse; In order to reduce the speaker's own discourse responsibility and face threat to the listener, the real source of the discourse and the shift of the topic center are hidden by the protective language (including the motivation and the hypothetical conditional sentence) in order to reduce the speaker's own discourse responsibility and face threat to the listener. This study also found that weak statements, modal words and subjective words are used most frequently. In general, job seekers use more verbal mitigation strategies in successful cases than those in failed cases. At the same time, based on Withorren's adaptation theory, this study explores the adaptation factors of speech mitigation strategies, mainly including psychological factors, social factors and physical factors. In the aspect of psychological factors, it is found that the speaker is to comply with the intention of the listener, the negative emotion that the listener may produce, and the speaker's desire to maintain face. At the same time, the speaker mainly adapts to the power of the interviewee, as well as some social morality, such as modesty, honesty and so on. Physical factors are mainly related to space-time factors. In addition, the author finds that verbal mitigation strategies produce some pragmatic functions that help speakers achieve communicative purposes. These functions include three main aspects: strengthening the relationship between the two sides, self-protection and persuasion. In a word, this paper mainly analyzes the language mitigation strategies commonly used by job seekers, the causes and pragmatic functions of these strategies. The author hopes that more scholars can study the field from a deeper point of view.
