弱势省略语篇与认知语境的关联性研究

【摘要】:认知语境是任何一种自然语言的语言表达式所依赖的语言知识及蕴含的非语言知识的总和,是交际双方共同的认知前提。认知语境本身是无形的,但其以图式的形式系统化、内在化于人们的长期记忆中,体现出人们的世界知识和经验,在关联理论的认知交际观下,认知语境具有一系列基本的特征,包括其动态性,完型性以及人本性,,其中最显著的特征是它的动态性,即动态生成性,因为交际本身就是一个动态的过程。 本文试图结合语境来考察弱势省略这一复杂的语言现象。弱势省略语篇中的省略是一种非范畴化的省略形式,与强势省略的不同点在于,所省略的信息是无法从上下文中准确地、一一对应地找回,其形式颇为复杂,内涵也相对丰富。有关弱势省略语篇这种非范畴化省略研究,无论从深度和广度,都不及范畴化省略研究,更没有形成比较成熟的理论。 文章遵循关联理论的认知交际观,基于认知语境的内容、特点及功能,以弱势省略语篇为语料,对弱势省略语篇与认知语境的关联性展开研究,揭示了弱势省略语篇的形成,理解以及文本转换都离不开认知语境,弱势省略语篇的交际动态性在与认知语境的关联过程中得到充分展现。通过对认知语境在弱势省略语篇交际过程中的特点和功能分析,提出弱势省略语篇这一内涵意义丰富的省略语篇类型的生成、理解以及文本转换,都与人的思维、认知有着紧密联系,进一步揭示出该类语篇形成的深层动因、信息补位的推理机制及其文本转换过程中信息传递的模式;最后强调了弱势省略语篇在其形成、信息推理和文本转换过程中与认知语境间的关联性的特征表现:交际双方的共知语境越多,语篇中可省略的信息就越多;语篇中的省略信息越多,文本的理解对认知语境的依赖就越大,文本转换的过程对源语文本中省略信息的补充和对译语文本的处理也必须以译者、源语作者和译语读者之间的共知的认知语境为前提。
[Abstract]:Cognitive context is the sum of linguistic knowledge and non-verbal knowledge on which the linguistic expressions of any natural language depend, and is the common cognitive premise of both sides of communication. Cognitive context itself is invisible, but it is systematized in the form of schema and embedded in people's long-term memory, reflecting people's world knowledge and experience. under the cognitive communication view of relevance theory, cognitive context has a series of basic characteristics, including its dynamic, perfect and human nature, the most prominent of which is its dynamic, that is, dynamic generation, because communication itself is a dynamic process. This paper attempts to examine the complex linguistic phenomenon of weak ellipsis in the light of context. The omission in weak ellipsis is a kind of non-classified form of ellipsis. The difference between the ellipsis and the strong ellipsis is that the information omitted can not be recovered accurately and one by one from the context, and its form is quite complex and its connotation is relatively rich. The study of non-categorization ellipsis in weak ellipsis is not as good as the study of categorization ellipsis in terms of depth and breadth, let alone the formation of a more mature theory. Based on the cognitive communication view of relevance theory, based on the content, characteristics and functions of cognitive context, this paper studies the relevance between weak ellipsis text and cognitive context, and reveals that the formation, understanding and text transformation of weak ellipsis text can not be separated from cognitive context. The communicative dynamics of weak ellipsis text is fully demonstrated in the process of relevance to cognitive context. Based on the analysis of the characteristics and functions of cognitive context in the communication process of weak ellipsis, this paper puts forward that the generation, understanding and text transformation of weak ellipsis, which is rich in meaning, are closely related to human thinking and cognition, and further reveals the deep motivation of the formation of this kind of text, the reasoning mechanism of information complement and the mode of information transmission in the process of text transformation. Finally, it emphasizes the characteristics of the relevance between the cognitive context and the formation of the weak ellipsis, information reasoning and text conversion: the more the common knowledge context of both sides of the communication, the more information can be omitted in the text; The more omitting information in the text, the more dependent the text understanding on the cognitive context. The process of text conversion to supplement the omitted information in the source text and to deal with the target text must also be premised on the common cognitive context between the translator, the source author and the target language reader.
