中英新闻标题中的语法隐喻对比分析

1984年,著名语言学家韩礼德首次提出了“语法隐喻”这一概念。这一概念与词汇隐喻紧密相连却又相互区别。一经提出即吸引了学者们的广泛关注。尽管国内外学者对于语法隐喻的研究已经覆盖了很多领域,但是对于新闻标题中的语法隐喻的研究却是鲜少出现。综上,本文以韩礼德的语法隐喻理论为框架,采取定量与定性分析相结合的研究方法,对中英文新闻标题中包含的语法隐喻进行对比分析,旨在回答以下三个问题:(1)不同类型语法隐喻在中英新闻标题中如何分布?(2)不同类型语法隐喻在中英新闻标题中行使何种功能?(3)中英新闻标题中的语法隐喻在其分布和其所行使的功能上分别有什么异同?本文分别从中外两家权威媒体,即《人民日报》和《美国有线电视新闻网》(CNN)中收集2018年世界杯期间关于2018年俄罗斯世界杯的新闻报道,并对其标题进行提取,共包含306条英文新闻标题和423条中文新闻标题。在韩礼德语法隐喻理论的指导下,本文对所收集到的新闻标题中的语法隐喻进行量化分析以及质化分析,从而进一步探究其分布和功能。通过对比分析中英新闻标题中的语法隐喻,本文有如下发现:1)首先,语法隐喻现象广泛存在于中英文新闻标题中,英文新闻标题中...
