基于语料库的汉英词“脚/foot”的认知隐转喻比较研究

概念隐喻是认知语言学的基础理论之一,是和概念转喻一起由Lakoff和Johnson提出的。它们被认为是人类认知世界的工具之一,在我们的生活中无处不在。隐喻是基于事物相似性的跨域映射,主要功能是理解;而转喻是基于邻近性的域内映射,主要功能是指称。近年来,关于两者关系的研究层出不穷。多数研究者认为两者是一个连续的统一体,并且转喻比隐喻更基础。为了解释两者的互相作用,研究者提出了不同的模式。其中影响最大的是Goossens的“隐转喻”理论。体验主义认为人类以自我身体经验为基础来理解周围世界。作为人类最熟悉的部分,身体成为隐喻思维的主要来源。在我国,对身体隐喻和转喻的研究主要包括“头”、“脸”、“心”、“口”、“手”等。这些研究为隐喻思维的普遍性提供了证明。为了进一步揭示隐喻和转喻的关系并且对比不同文化中隐转喻思维的特点,本论文选取身体部位词“脚”为研究对象,从北京大学中国语言学研究中心的现代汉语语料库(CCL)和美国当代英语语料库(COCA)中分别取样1000条进行跨语言对比分析,并用Goossens的“隐转喻”理论来阐释隐喻和转喻的互相作用。本研究结果大致如下:第一,人类日常语言中存在大量...
