时代周刊中的性别词汇差异分析

　　60年代末到70年代初,在欧美国家中兴起了妇女解放运动,这股女权运动的浪潮也波及到语言学,极大地推动了语言学家对性别问题的进一步研究。随着女权运动的兴起,社会语言学的发展,语言与性别关系问题进一步引起了人们的关注。在前人的研究中,语言与性别的研究主要集中在两个方面：一是男女话语风格的差异,及不同性别的表达方式有所不同；另一个则是词汇对性别问题的反映,对于男女角色有不同的称谓。本文通过总结性别与语言关系相关的研究成果,介绍并引述了国内外相关内容,阐释了性别歧视,女权运动,性别词汇等概念,运用SPSS和EXCEL等软件,并结合美国《时代周刊》杂志语料库中提取的数据,运用定性分析和定量分析相结合的方法,分析男女性别词汇的运用差异,并通过分析解读其不同的原因及发展的趋势。本文旨在通过对同一年代不同性别词汇的使用频度,及不同年代同一性别的词汇使用频度,对表示性别的词汇进行量化分析。以此数据为基础对语言的性别问题在历时与共时角度进行定性分析,得出结论。前人在这个领域做过诸多研究,作者仅求通过可信数据的量化分析来印证之前的结论,并从数据分析中发现新的问题,从而能有助于后续的语言研究。
