英汉求职信语篇人际意义对比研究

人际意义是语言学研究中的一个重要课题。“人际意义”这个术语出自韩礼德的系统功能语法,是指建立和保持人际关系的功能。近年来,对特定语篇的人际意义进行研究相当普遍和流行,由于不同的社会环境和文化因素,人际意义的实现方式也不尽相同,本文的写作目的正是为了对比分析中英文在人际意义实现方式上的异同。运用韩礼德的系统功能语法、马丁的评价理论和李战子实现人际意义的理论框架,从语气、情态、时态、人称和评价系统几个方面,对30篇英语求职信和30篇汉语求职信从人际意义角度展开对比分析。为了确保研究的可靠性和有效性,本文运用定性和定量的研究方法,探讨了英汉求职信中人际意义的各种实现方式的异同点,从而对求职信的教授和撰写提供一些有益启示。通过分析和讨论,笔者发现中英文求职信中存在着异同点。主要的相似点有:(1)英汉求职信中的大部分语句使用的是表述性语气;(2)使用祈使句都是为了表达对面试机会的渴望,从而唤起读者的共鸣;(3)英汉求职信中都使用低中情态动词来表达礼貌和劝说的语气;(4)多数句子使用的是一般现在时和一般将来时;(5)第一人称占据主要地位;(6)大量使用积极的鉴赏性语言;(7)广泛使用强势语言。不同...
