英汉死亡委婉语文化内涵对比研究

委婉语作为一种文化词汇,在交际过程中常常会造成误解或不理解,在双语交际中这一点表现得尤为突出,究其原因有两点;即,不了解委婉语的特征和生成过程是一方面,另一方面,缺乏相关文化知识也是重要原因之一。目前绝大多数探讨委婉语的文章都是从词汇学、社会语言学和语用学等角度展开的。比较而言,从跨文化角度来讨论委婉语的文章显得不多,特别是深入的专题研究更是少之又少,并且在这些为数不多的研究中主观性结论较多,而统计数据和实验结果的支持则显得比较缺乏。跨文化交际学究其本质而言是一种文化比较,而词语文化内涵的研究更是跨文化交际研究的一个重要组成部分。本文把作为众多文化词汇中的一种委婉语设为一个大的研究方向,而把死亡委婉语作为目标研究对象,将对其涵义作跨文化的对比研究,尤其关注其中的文化差异,其研究目的在于帮助学生弄清造成语言表面形态差异的深层文化原因,以便使现实中的跨文化交际顺利进行,为文化教学实践提供具体案例。死亡委婉语是众多委婉语中的一种,英汉死亡委婉语都很丰富,其在文化、历史、心理、认知等方面既有相同又有差异。本文拟采用语言对比的相关理论,对英汉死亡委婉语进行比较。本文所对比中英死亡委婉语词条来自于...
