从认知角度研究成语的语义理据

【摘要】： 传统语言学对于成语的认识存在一个误解，强调成语是一种结构固定，意义具有任意性的特殊表达方式，即成语具有不可分解性。然而语言学界的前沿领域认知语言学对于这一传统论点提出质疑，得出与传统理论截然不同的观点，认为成语具有可分解性，即绝大多数的成语意义可以由其构成的成分推断出来，而且结构也是灵活多变的。认知语言学对于成语可分解性的解释主要是通过认知理论探究成语背后的语义理据。经验主义认知观认为语言反映了人们根据经验在头脑中形成的概念；人们根据共同的经验形成了各种各样的概念结构，包括隐喻概念，转喻概念，意象图示，框架，情景等，这些概念结构通过语言形式表达出来，成语就是其中一种。 本文着重论述成语的三种主要语义理据：隐喻概念，，转喻概念，普遍知识(即认知语言学中的框架)。概念隐喻是非常重要的概念结构，许多认知语言学家认为人类的思维方式本身就是隐喻性的，本文也大篇幅着墨于概念隐喻(包括结构隐喻，容器隐喻，实体隐喻和方向隐喻)作为成语语义理据的普遍性；转喻概念同样是重要的概念结构，为成语提供语义理据；普遍知识贯穿于人类概念结构之中，对于成语也是不可忽视的语义理据。本文还比较了英汉成语中共同的概念结构，从而揭示了经验主义科学性，以及从认知角度学习成语的有效性。
