中美手语情感词汇表达模式的对比研究

【摘要】：手语通常以各种手势来模拟可见之物。然而,情感却是一种抽象的、看不见也摸不着的东西,所以想要直接用手比划出情感的概念是非常困难的。认知语言学家们发现情感主要是通过隐喻和转喻实现概念化转化。手语语言学的研究者们将此观点引入到手语情感的研究中,他们发现手语也可以通过隐喻和转喻这两种词汇模式来来理解和表达情感词汇。本文旨在对比分析中美两国手语中表达情感词汇的模式——隐喻和转喻,进而探究这两者的情感隐喻和情感转喻的异同,并浅析导致这些异同的原因。本文的研究语料为中国手语和美国手语中有关喜怒哀惧这四个基本情感的手语词汇。研究发现,中国手语和美国手语中的情感词汇主要是通过隐喻和转喻进行表达的。通过分析还发现,中美两国的情感手语词汇中的隐喻与转喻存在有许多异同点。相似之处主要是由人类相同的生理机制、认知模式和相似的生理体验决定的。其不同之处主要来源于两国的文化差异和不同的选择视角。通过本文的研究可以发现,隐喻和转喻这两种情感词汇的表达模式渗透于中国手语和美国手语的情感词汇。因此,本文为认知语言学的隐喻观和转喻观提供了证据支持,从手语的角度证明了隐喻与转喻不仅仅是修辞方法,更是人类的认知方式。
