【摘要】：在目前各种技术复杂的媒体时代,反而忽视了影视翻译经验长时间,现在翻译领域研究其中影视翻译是增长最快的一个领域。另一方面,纪录片也得到一定提高并在电影研究领域内占领了一个新的位置。 该硕士论文探讨影视翻译领域的一个具体方面：纪录片字幕翻译。由于目的论在字幕翻译过程中会考虑纪录片特征,从而影响翻译内容,论文作者提出目的论作为纪录片字幕翻译的理论框架。其后,该论文分辨和纪录片字幕特征有关的翻译者的决定：选择适当翻译策略并寻找自发语言、术语和‘超字幕的信息’适当的翻译方法。 关于纪录片字幕翻译的这些问题将通过四部纪录片分析讨论：巨变之后：没有石油的世界(2010)、独立游戏大电影(2012)、BBC之语言地球.听音识身份(2011)、个子高的男人快乐吗?(2013)。
