作品名翻译与重新命名之区别——兼与何自然、侯国金等教授商榷

【摘要】：跨文化交流有多种方法或形式,翻译只是其中的一种。为实现跨文化交流的目的,译者在完成翻译任务时可适当借用其他方法或形式,但从逻辑概念上讲,不可把其他方法或形式(包括为翻译作品重新命名)混同于翻译。翻译的本质属性是"言易",故翻译活动是将一种语言的文本转换为另一种语言文本的活动,而译文(包括作品名译名)则是这种转换活动的结果。较之作品名翻译,为某些翻译作品重新命名往往更适合译文读者,从而使跨文化交流更富成效。
[Abstract]:There are many ways or forms of cross-cultural communication, and translation is just one of them. In order to achieve the purpose of cross-cultural communication, the translator may borrow other methods or forms when completing translation tasks, but logically speaking, other methods or forms (including renaming translation works) should not be confused with translation. The essential attribute of translation is "change of words", so translation is the activity of converting one language's text into another, and the translation (including the name of the work) is the result of this kind of conversion. Compared with title translation, renaming some translated works is more suitable for target readers, thus making cross-cultural communication more effective.
