[Abstract]:In translating the titles of literary, film and television works, the translator often maps the content or plot involved in the works to the title in order to make the title of the translation more explicit. This translation of the title is often regarded as the appropriate treatment by the industry, because it can make the target language audience know and benefit from it, and to some extent it seems to be conducive to the commercial benefits of the translation. However, the author of the source language does not disclose the text too much in the title in order to cater to the audience of the source language, so the translator's mapping is contrary to the original intention of the source language author. It may also weaken the aesthetic sense of form or artistic conception of the original title itself and limit the imagination of the target audience, thus failing to convey the effect of the original work leading the mass literacy forward. Also failed to fulfill the translator's historical responsibility to lead the evolution and development of culture. As an intellectual translator, we should begin with not abandoning the literary and artistic forms of the original text, and transplant the original title to the reader's imagination space in order to better understand the heterogeneity of foreign culture.
