西方学术视野中的翻译学

【摘要】：本文拟讨论两个问题:1)翻译学从属于应用语言学是不是合理?2)翻译学到底是不是一个独立的学科?自上世纪末起,翻译学界开始了一波强劲的文化转向,翻译研究的语言学范式让位于文化研究范式。时至今日,翻译学的主流已经不再是语言学,因此,国内的学科划分仍将翻译学归在应用语言学之下,显然已经不合时宜。受文化转向的影响,如今翻译学已经发展成了一个跨界学科,与社会学、哲学、心理学、历史学、经济学、计算机科学等学科建立起了跨学科的研究界面。因此,在西方学术界,翻译学已经被认定为是一个跨界学科,从而获得了独立的学科地位。这与翻译学在中国的发展很不协调。如果不给予翻译学以合理的学科地位,势必会影响这一蒸蒸日上的学科的健康发展。
[Abstract]:This paper intends to discuss two questions: (1) is it reasonable for translation to be subordinate to applied linguistics? (2) is translatology an independent subject? Since the end of the last century, translation circles have begun a strong cultural turn, and the linguistic paradigm of translation studies has given way to the paradigm of cultural studies. Up to now, the mainstream of translation studies is no longer linguistics, therefore, the division of disciplines in China still classifies translation studies under applied linguistics, which is obviously out of date. Under the influence of cultural turn, translation has developed into a cross-disciplinary subject, which has established an interdisciplinary research interface with sociology, philosophy, psychology, history, economics, computer science and so on. Therefore, translation has been recognized as a cross-disciplinary subject in western academia, thus gaining its independent status. This is incompatible with the development of translation studies in China. If translation is not given a reasonable position, it will affect the healthy development of this booming subject.
