我国高校非通用外语教师面临的挑战与困境:一项质性研究

【摘要】:本文以10名高校非通用外语教师为研究对象,通过深度访谈和叙事框架相结合的质性研究方法,揭示了他们职业成长与发展面临的内外部困境。研究发现,外部困境主要表现为教育教学资源匮乏(无教材、无工具书),承担课程门类过多,且身兼教学、行政、科研、外事秘书等多种工作;内部困境主要表现为教学与科研冲突带来的内心纠结和焦虑。尽管如此,他们仍对教学满腔热情、对学生充满爱心、对国家无限忠诚,其敬业精神让人感动,值得钦佩。根据上述结果,本文提出了改进他们职业生存与发展环境的两条建议。
[Abstract]:In this paper, 10 non-general-purpose foreign language teachers in colleges and universities are taken as the research subjects, and the qualitative research method combining in-depth interviews with narrative framework is used to reveal the internal and external difficulties faced by them in their career growth and development. The study found that the external predicament mainly manifested in the lack of educational and teaching resources (no teaching materials, no reference books), taking on too many kinds of courses, and teaching, administration, scientific research, foreign affairs secretary and so on. The internal predicament is mainly reflected in the inner entanglement and anxiety caused by the conflict between teaching and scientific research. Nevertheless, their enthusiasm for teaching, their love for their students, their loyalty to their country, and their dedication to their work are impressive and admirable. Based on the above results, this paper puts forward two suggestions to improve their environment of survival and development.
