从传播视角看林译小说序跋的价值

【摘要】：考察林译小说在晚清得以风行和广为接受的缘由,仅仅从外部社会语境和传播方式的变化来分析是不够的,还应从林纾自身的翻译目的出发,展开对其翻译动机和效果的剖析。从林译小说的序跋中,可见当时翻译小说主题的时代性流变及林纾"救国、警世、正德、求新"的译书动机,也正是因为他固本补末、求同存异、吸纳改良的翻译观念与目标受众取得了"呼应和共鸣",使得其作品迎来民族整体性阅读热潮。
[Abstract]:It is not enough to investigate the reasons why Lin translated novels became popular and widely accepted in the late Qing Dynasty, and it is not enough to analyze them only from the changes of external social context and mode of communication. Lin Shu's translation motivation and effect should also be analyzed from the perspective of Lin Shu's own translation purpose. From the preface and postscript of Lin's translated novels, it can be seen that the theme of the translated novels at that time changed from time to time and Lin Shu's motivation of "saving the country, warning the world, being virtuous and seeking new" was precisely because he fixed the book, sought common ground while reserving differences, and absorbed the improved translation concept and target audience to obtain "echo and resonance", which made his works ushered in the upsurge of national reading as a whole.
