基于语料库的名转动词现象研究

名词和动词是大多数语言中最重要的词类,因而名动之间的转换也一直是研究者关注的焦点。事实上,英语名词动用自从语言出现以来就已经存在了,至今它仍然是扩大词汇来源的重要手段。因此名词动用是非常有价值的研究对象,有助于我们进一步研究语言创新现象的本质。回顾名词动用的研究历程,我们发现结构主义语言学派、转换生成语言学派、认知语言学派和功能语言学派都曾经从不同的理论出发,不同程度地对名词动用现象做出描写和阐释,他们的努力对于更好地理解这一语言现象做出了很大的贡献。然而,已有的名词动用研究存在以下方面的局限性。一是,观察充分性不足。学者所用的大多数名转动词都援引1979年Clark & Clark收集的1300个词,语料稀缺而又陈旧,急需一些新鲜语料的加入。二,描写充分性不足。大部分研究是在孤立的词语和句子层面来考察名词动用现象的语法特征,而忽略了其在语篇、语用层面的表现,缺乏对该类词语在不同文本类型里分布与出现频率方面的描写。三,解释充分性不足。名动转类涉及到语言学研究的许多方面,而之前的研究大多囿于某一单一角度或理论,缺乏跨学科、多角度的研究,必然不能对其进行全面地描写与阐释。基于前人的...
