对网络即时通讯文本中表情符号的研究：符际互补视角

多模态语篇分析（Multimodal Discourse Analysis, MDA）是语篇分析的新方法,主要建立在Halliday的系统功能语言学（Systemic Functional Linguistics, SFL）的基础上。多模态语篇（Multimodal discourse）被定义为由两种或多种社会符号系统共同构建意义的语篇,它不仅仅局限于语言,而是涉及到了其它模式,例如:图像、声音、手势等。本文的总体目标是对即时通讯（Instant Messaging, IM）的书写语篇进行多模态和多符号意义构建的阐释。在中国,网络即时通讯作为一种崭新的沟通交流方式,是从上个世纪80年代开始兴起的,已经发展成为人们日常生活中非常重要的交流手段。表情符号（Emoticon）在聊天文本中随处可见,成为即时通讯文本中的一个非常显著的特征。然而,由于表情符号的新颖性,很少有研究涉及即时通讯语篇中的表情符号,尤其是关于表情符号及语言之间的关系的研究更为少见。基于此,本文试图以Royce的符际互补分析（Intersemiotic Complementarity Analysis）为基础对表情符号和语...
