【摘要】：前人对《诗经》中动物词的研究主要从文学意象,文化背景以及翻译等角度进行,成果颇丰且为后来的研究做了贡献,但也仍存在不足:未关注《诗经》中动物词象征意义的生成。本研究拟从认知语言学角度填补前人研究的空缺,并从此窥探先秦人们的知识结构和认知操作。本研究主要参照朱熹、陈子展、方玉润、周振甫及程俊英等学者对《诗经》的注解,整理出《诗经》中具有象征意义且涵盖了鸟、兽、虫、鱼的动物词。基于这些学者的论著,本文将《诗经》中这些动物词的象征意义分为四类:情感象征意义、品德象征意义、政治象征意义和其他象征意义。此外,本研究总结了这些象征意义的三个主要特征,即体验性,多重性和民族性。体验性表明动物词的象征意义并非任意的,它们与人类和动物的互动体验密切相关;多重性主要体现了相同的动物词在不同的语境下会有不同的象征意义;民族性则说明了一个动物词因受不同的文化背景的影响,而表现出不同甚至是完全相反的象征意义。本研究展现了《诗经》中动物词象征意义的生成。除了少数动物词的象征意义直接来自于神话和中国古代图腾文化,《诗经》中大多数动物词的象征意义源自人们的隐喻思维。本文拟构了“鸟”、“兽”、“虫”、“鱼”概念框架,每个框架都包含了大量的元素,但在特定的语境下时,并非所有的元素都会被激活。因此,部分元素会突显而其他则会被隐略。通过人们的隐喻思维,动物词获得了象征意义,且因人们拥有相似的经验,从而这些象征意义被广泛接受。《诗经》中动物词的语用效果主要可从三个方面进行探讨:避讳、语言生动和联想激发。总的来说,通过使用这些动物词,诗人能清楚地传递情感,读者也能更好地理解诗歌主旨。
