【摘要】：正《雾都孤儿》是英国作家查尔斯·狄更斯的早期作品之一,作者在小说中塑造了许多真实立体的孤儿形象,以小见大地影射了历史变革中的英国社会,由孤儿现象引发对整个时代的思考。本文重点研究小说中的孤儿形象,以期实现对作品内涵的把握。一、小说主要内容小说主人公奥利弗·特威斯特是一个出生在济贫院的孤儿。他的母亲临盆前被人在路边发现,在济贫院生下他之后便撒手人寰。无依无靠、身世成谜的奥利弗自幼得不到基本的生活保障,经常受到他人的欺辱。他不堪棺材店老板
[Abstract]:"Orphan Twist" is one of the early works of Charles Dickens, a British writer. In his novels, the author has created many real three-dimensional images of orphans, and through a small part he can see that the whole British society in historical change is inferred. This paper focuses on the orphan image in the novel, in order to grasp the connotation of the work. Oliver Twist, the protagonist of the novel, is an orphan born in a workhouse. His mother was found by the roadside before the birth of his mother, and he died after he was born in the poorhouse.
