小说《布鲁克林高地》中的身份认同研究

【摘要】：作为埃及当代有影响力的女作家之一,米拉勒·塔哈维凭借其长篇小说《布鲁克林高地》于2010年荣获了第五届纳吉布·马哈福兹文学奖,成为了第三位获得马哈福兹文学奖的女作家,《布鲁克林高地》也因此引起了阿拉伯世界和其他各国学术界的广泛关注。这部小说以一位移居美国的埃及单身母亲为主要人物展开,通过描绘主人公母子在美国的移民生活经历,也描绘了生活在布鲁克林地区的其他各国移民的生活经历。同时,小说着眼于埃及和布鲁克林两地,不仅描写出了主人公母子在美国的移民生活,也通过人物的回忆,描写了主人公在祖国的生活经历,刻画出了“母亲”、“祖母”等人物形象。本文将以身份认同和女性主义理论的相关知识为支撑对作品进行深入研究。旨在通过对作品中所呈现的人物的身份认同探索历程和身份建构问题的分析,解读米拉勒·塔哈维在作品中所要表达的身份认同思想。小说中的主人公亨德是一位埃及女性,在遭遇婚姻变故和丈夫出走后,她独自带着八岁的儿子离开祖国、远赴美国布鲁克林去开始新的生活。作者塔哈维通过塑造这一兼具女性与移民双重身份的主要人物形象,通过她的人生经历,在作品中为我们呈现了女性与移民群体的身份探索之路。小说通过塑造大量的女性形象,展现了生活在男权社会中的女性要勇于追求自由,要敢于挣脱传统的束缚,实现女性的自我,但是在塔哈维的笔下,真正的女性要在追求自我与自由的基础上,坚持女性与母性的统一,要追求女性与男性的和谐相处,这才是女性身份的真正归属,才能实现女性真正的生命价值。同样,小说通过对两代移民不同的身份认同历程的呈现,表现了生活在西方社会中的东方移民,不仅要坚守自己的民族文化和民族身份,还要肯定并接受西方文化对自己的影响,在多重文化的影响下构建自己的多元文化身份,在东西文化的融合中找到自己的身份定位,实现自己的身份认同与归属。在作者笔下,作为边缘群体的女性与东方移民只有坚持多元的身份建构,才能实现自身的身份认同。“和谐”、“共融”的思想支撑着人物的身份建构,构成了小说身份认同的核心思想。
[Abstract]:One of Egypt's most influential contemporary female writers, Milal Tavi won the fifth Najib Mahforth Prize for Literature in 2010 for his novel Brooklyn Heights. As the third female writer to win the Mahforth Prize for Literature, Brooklyn Heights has attracted widespread attention in the Arab world and elsewhere. The novel is a single Egyptian mother who emigrates to the United States. For the main characters, By depicting her mother and son's immigrant life in the United States, the novel also depicts the life experiences of immigrants from other countries living in Brooklyn. At the same time, the novel focuses on Egypt and Brooklyn. It not only describes the immigrant life of the protagonist's mother and son in the United States, but also describes the hero's life experience in the motherland through the memory of the characters. Portrays the characters of "mother" and "grandmother". This thesis is based on the relevant knowledge of identity and feminist theory. The purpose of this paper is to explore the identity of the characters in the works. The analysis of the process of claim and the problem of identity construction, The protagonist in the novel, Hende, is an Egyptian woman who leaves the country alone with her eight-year-old son after a marriage incident and her husband's departure. Travel to Brooklyn, USA, to start a new life. The writer, Tavi, creates the image of this main character, who is both female and immigrant, and through her life experience. The novel shows us the way to explore the identity of women and immigrant groups. By shaping a large number of images of women, the novel shows that women living in a patriarchal society should be brave to pursue freedom and dare to break free from the bondage of tradition. To realize the female self, but in Tavi's writings, the true female should insist on the unity of the female and the mother, and the harmony between the female and the male on the basis of pursuing the self and freedom. This is the real attribution of the female identity. In the same way, by presenting the different process of identity between the two generations of immigrants, the novel shows the oriental immigrants living in the western society, not only to stick to their own national culture and national identity. We must also affirm and accept the influence of Western culture on ourselves, construct our multicultural identity under the influence of multiple cultures, find our own identity position in the fusion of East and West cultures, and realize our own identity and attribution. As a marginal group, women and oriental immigrants can realize their identity only if they insist on pluralistic identity construction. The thought of "harmony" and "integration" supports the identity construction of characters and constitutes the core idea of identity identity in novels.
