理雅各的章回小说写作及其文体学意义

【摘要】：英国汉学家理雅各以章回小说的翻译与写作为其汉学生涯的起点,1842年翻译《大明正德皇游江南传》,并以此为范本写作章回小说《约瑟纪略》和《亚伯拉罕纪略》。理雅各逆晚清西风东渐之势,"以中律西",用中国传统文学体裁写作西方人物传奇,这一文体选择包含了他试图克服畛域之见,跨越中西界限的文化取向。他对于章回小说的文体认识和创作实践体现了高度的文体自觉意识,触及了中国古代小说观念、章回小说的文体特征、章回小说形式与内容的关系等一系列文学本体问题,并独创"纪略体"小说,对中篇章回小说也有新的发展,以自己的方式捍卫并保持了中国文学的独特性。
[Abstract]:In 1842, the English Sinologist Jacob's translation and writing was the starting point of his Han Dynasty. In 1842, he translated < Daming Zheng de Huang to travel to the south of the Yangtze River >, and used it as a model to write the novel < Joseph 's Outline > and < Abraham' s Outline >. This style of style includes his cultural orientation of trying to overcome the view of the world and crossing the boundary between the West and the West. His style of writing and writing embodies a high sense of stylistic consciousness. He touches on a series of articles on the concept of ancient Chinese novels, the stylistic features of the novel, the relationship between the form and the content of the novel. Studying the noumenon problem, and creating the novel of "Ji Lian style", it also has a new development in the novella of the novella, defending and retaining the uniqueness of Chinese literature in its own way.
