中世纪英国动物叙事与远东想象

【摘要】：13至14世纪,英国作家把动物叙事和远东想象结合起来,在百科全书、编年史、虚构游记和骑士文学中展示出英国人的东方情结和潜在的动物幻想。远东体现出野蛮性、怪物特质和物种差异的消解,但又是英国人艳羡的文明之地。在与欧洲大陆远东构建模式保持传递性和连贯性的基础上,这些作家通过动物叙事构建的远东既是文化乌托邦的象征,又是文化他者的代表,成为中世纪英国人定位自身文化身份和在欧洲大陆文化圈中的地位的实践对象。
[Abstract]:From the 13th to the 14th century, British writers combined animal narration with the far East imagination, displaying the English oriental complex and potential animal fantasies in encyclopedia, chronicles, fictional travels, and chivalry literature. The far East embodies savagery, monster traits and species differences, but it is also the envy of the British civilization. On the basis of maintaining transitivity and coherence with the European continental far East construction model, the far East constructed by these writers through animal narration is not only the symbol of cultural utopia, but also the representative of cultural other. To become the practice object of the medieval British to define their own cultural identity and position in the European continental cultural circle.
