【摘要】：正一约翰·契弗(John Cheever,1912—1982)是20世纪美国最伟大的短篇小说家之一,获得过美国全国图书奖、普利策文学奖等重大奖项,契弗擅长描写"二战"后生活在城市郊区的美国中产阶级,被誉为刻画城市郊区生活的契诃夫。虽然契弗在当代美国文学史上具有重要的地位,但国内学界对他关注较少,迄今为止只刊发了数十篇讨论其作品的论文,而且讨论的视角和作品都较为单一。契弗与美国当代小说家塞林格
[Abstract]:John Cheevern John Cheevern (1912-1982) was one of the greatest American short story writers in the 20th century, winning major awards such as the National Book Award and the Pulitzer Prize for Literature. Cheever is good at describing the American middle class who lived in the suburbs after World War II and is regarded as Chekhov who portrays the suburban life of the city. Although Cheever plays an important role in the history of contemporary American literature, scholars in China pay little attention to him.
