【摘要】：梅耶和贝西埃学术生涯充实,著作等身。问题学哲学和历史性概念可以分别论证为新辩证唯物主义和新历史唯物主义。它们是梅耶和贝西埃新文艺思想的基础。《罗马与欧洲艺术的诞生》深入历史层面,从性情、逻各斯和动感之情的关系和换位关系中,分析罗马的宗教、建筑(剧院、神庙、教堂、广场、民居和宫殿的风格及它们的历史演变)、社会、艺术、文学,从庞贝四种绘画风格的演变看欧洲绘画的诞生。《当代法国文学的非现实性和独特性》把法国当代文学分为两大块,从小说、诗、戏剧、文学批评等多角度多层次分析法国当代文学的特征和独特性。贝西埃批评了法国20世纪两段先锋派对当代文学非现实性的影响,不赞成用后现代和后殖民来界定当代文学,因为现代性的消极因素还存在,因为新殖民主义还存在。
