黎紫书作品中现代焦虑的哥特式形态研究

【摘要】:黎紫书被公认为是当前最具影响力的马来西亚华人作家之一,也是最具代表性的新生代马华本土作家。其作品几乎斩获了海内外所有华文文学重要奖项,深受普通读者与学术研究者的欣赏和认可。黎紫书小说以编织绵密窒息的文字氛围、深度挖掘人物内心的阴暗隅角著称,情节经常和乱伦、谋杀、暴力、死亡等黑暗元素相联系,总体呈现出压抑、恐怖的书写风格,而世界与心灵相互映照所展露的黑暗与恐怖一直是古老哥特文学传统的经典特征。当前国内外学者的研究分析皆有所涉及黎紫书创作中的色欲、暴烈、魔幻、疯癫等特质,事实上,这些非理性元素已被学界视为黎氏创作最典型的标志。然而遗憾的是,至今尚未出现一篇研究论述将这些创作特征和与之密切相关连的哥特文学传统相结合进行探讨,甚至尚未有论者正式指出黎紫书小说的哥特式风格。因而本论文将在现有研究基础上,从黎紫书作品所呈现的哥特式特征入手,运用空间理论、文艺形态学、意象分析、精神分析、女性主义批评、文化批评等方法,探索黎紫书笔下现代焦虑的哥特式形态,展现黎紫书创作承继哥特文学具象化、表象化的美学传统,以表面化的黑暗形态映照现代人类心理。相信这将弥补黎紫书创作整体性研究领域的部分空白,增加黎紫书小说的研究深度。论文主要分为五部分。绪论主要介绍本论文的研究背景、研究意义和研究框架。其中在第三小节的哥特文学概述中,论文主要分析哥特体裁的产生和发展,进而归纳总结哥特式小说在百年演变过程中某些不变的核心元素与模式手法,如特定时空设置、典型人物形象、以恐怖为核心的美学情感、虚实互涉手法,情节的暴力性和恐怖性等等,以此对应黎紫书创作的主要内容和形式手法。第一章主要论述黎紫书小说中空间意象和人物形象的哥特式形态,从封闭式物理空间的可表象性和压抑性心理空间的不可表象性,对应众多小说人物身上的可见疾病和不可见疾病,进而阐释黎紫书笔下众多迥然不同于启蒙理性所定义的“人类”范畴的哥特式人物形象。第二章聚焦于黎紫书在空间想象中是如何建构各种象征性边界,论证人物生存空间和人物的内心空间处于相互制约的关系。边界存在是促使人物内心由封闭压抑到焦虑恐惧的主要原因,而人物心理空间的濒临崩溃也将导致生存空间秩序的异动乃至瓦解。第三章将分析文本中象征人物企图谋求解脱或最终突破“定义性”边界的暴力形式和死亡书写。结语部分总结论文,思考黎紫书所创造的哥特式黑暗文学幻想对于当代现实世界的正面性意义,以及黎紫书小说创作对于传统哥特模式多样化和现代化的贡献性价值。
[Abstract]:Li Zishu is recognized as one of the most influential Chinese writers in Malaysia. His works have won almost all the important awards in Chinese literature at home and abroad, and are appreciated and recognized by ordinary readers and academic researchers. Li Zishu's novels are famous for weaving a suffocating writing atmosphere, digging deep into the dark corners of the characters' hearts, and the plot is often associated with dark elements such as incest, murder, violence, death, etc., and generally presents a repressive and terrifying writing style. The darkness and terror revealed by the mutual reflection of the world and the mind have always been the classic features of the ancient Gothic literary tradition. At present, the research and analysis of scholars at home and abroad are related to the characteristics of lust, violence, magic, madness and so on. In fact, these irrational elements have been regarded as the most typical sign of Li's creation. Unfortunately, however, there has not been a study on the combination of these creative features with the closely related Gothic literary tradition, and no one has even formally pointed out the Gothic style of Li Zi-shu 's novels. Therefore, based on the existing research, this paper will start with the Gothic characteristics of Li Zi's works, and apply the methods of space theory, literary morphology, image analysis, psychoanalysis, feminist criticism, cultural criticism, etc. This paper explores the Gothic form of modern anxiety in Li Zi's writings, reveals the aesthetic tradition of the embodiment and representation of the Gothic literature in Li Zi's creation, and reflects modern human psychology with the dark appearance of the surface. It is believed that this will make up some gaps in the field of the overall study of Li Zishu's creation and increase the research depth of Li Zishu's novels. The paper is divided into five parts. Introduction mainly introduces the research background, research significance and research framework of this paper. In the third section of Gothic literature overview, the paper mainly analyzes the emergence and development of Gothic genre, and then summarizes some core elements and patterns of Gothic novels in the century-old evolution process, such as specific space-time settings. The typical character image, aesthetic emotion with terror as the core, the skill of virtual reality interfacing each other, the violence and horror of plot and so on, correspond to the main content and form technique of the creation of Li Zi book. The first chapter mainly discusses the Gothic form of space image and character image in the novels of Li Zi-shu, from the expressible nature of the closed physical space and the unimaginable nature of the repressive psychological space. Corresponding to the visible and invisible diseases in many novel characters, this paper further explains the Gothic characters in Li Zi's writings which are very different from the category of "human" defined by enlightenment reason. The second chapter focuses on how to construct various symbolic boundaries in the space imagination of Li Zi Book, and prove that the living space of characters and the inner space of characters are mutually restricted. The existence of the boundary is the main reason for the characters to change from closed depression to anxiety and fear, and the imminent collapse of the characters' psychological space will lead to the transformation and even disintegration of the order of living space. The third chapter will analyze the violent forms and death writing of symbolic characters seeking to extricate or finally break through the boundary of "definitional" in the text. The conclusion part summarizes the thesis, and thinks about the positive significance of the Gothic dark literary fantasy created by Li Zishu to the contemporary real world, and the contribution value of Li Zishu's novel creation to the diversification and modernization of the traditional Gothic model.
