应对“风险社会”的原教旨主义国家——论《使女的故事》中“基列国”对现代社会的颠覆

【摘要】:加拿大著名作家玛格丽特·阿特伍德在《使女的故事》中创造了一个尊奉原教旨主义的教权国家基列国。基列国是20世纪60—70年代西方世界激进变革运动及80年代保守转向在文学世界中的回响,它不仅涉及到男女平权和生态环境问题,更关涉到"现代社会"所显现出的"自然状态"带给人类的"自由"重担,以及其作为"风险社会"的令人望而生畏之处;基列国极度抗拒现代社会的工业化基底与无限索求的观念,并挖掘了人类面对"自由""风险"时产生的孤独与不安全感,重塑了政权性质、社会阶层、两性关系等,颠覆了现代社会。但《使女的故事》显示,原教旨主义式的利维坦国度绝非现代社会的理想替代物。
[Abstract]:Margaret Atwood, a famous Canadian writer, created a fundamentalist nation in the Story of the maid. In the 1960s and 1970s, the radical change movement in the western world and the conservative turn in the 1980s echoed in the literary world. It not only involves the equal rights of men and women and the ecological environment. It is also concerned with the burden of "freedom" brought to mankind by the "natural state" shown by "modern society" and its formidable place as a "risk society". The basic countries were extremely resistant to the industrialization base of modern society and the concept of unlimited demand, and excavated the loneliness and insecurity of human beings when faced with "freedom" and "risk", and reshaped the nature of political power, social stratum, gender relations, etc. Subverted modern society. But the story of the maids shows that fundamentalist Leviathan is no ideal substitute for modern society.
