移民、愤怒与写作:欧阳昱《黄州三部曲》创伤研究

【摘要】:欧阳昱最先因其诗歌而闻名澳华文坛,但近年来,其愈发重视跨国题材英语小说。同时,越来越多的学者将目光倾注在他的英语小说上。《东坡纪事》(2002),《英语班》(2010)和《散漫野史》(2011)共同构成他英语小说的《黄州三部曲》。尽管评论界不乏对欧阳昱英文创作的评论,但大部分都集中在三部曲中最知名的《东坡纪事》上。包括温卡·奥门森,王腊宝,黄忠在内的学者分别阐释了该小说中种族、文化身份和性别问题。然而,对三部曲作为一个整体的学术评论,还未曾有过。本文运用文本分析方法,探究三部曲如何表现因社会文化变革和文化地理位移所导致的创伤。本文聚焦澳大利亚华裔知识分子人物形象,考察他们如何通过"愤怒"这一情感表达方式来宣泄内心的创伤。同时,本文深入分析欧阳昱的叙事策略,包括后现代主义和半自传形式,进一步揭示男性人物的创伤体验。首先,本文将从三个方面探讨跨文化语境下男性知识分子群体的文化创伤。广义上讲,20世纪90年代的经济浪潮导致了创伤性的社会文化变革,尤其是社会价值观变革和信仰危机的出现,使知识分子受到挫败;狭义上讲,知识分子遭受严重的政治压力,其中文化大革命和天安门事件等加重了这种群体创伤;此外,移民澳洲后,男性知识分子被白人占主导地位的澳大利亚主流社会所边缘化,并遭受文化移位及文化冲突的侵扰。其次,本文分析了三部曲中男性角色的个人创伤以及他们对愤怒情感的反复表达。三部曲中的男主人公均受到亲生母亲的疏离,同时他们也受到女性同伴的支配。在跨文化语境下,这种个人遭遇与男性知识分子的集体遭遇相互呼应。作为对创伤境遇的回应,愤怒不仅是对他们压抑的创伤情感的发泄,更表达了他们作为跨文化人的无奈。最后,本文分析了欧阳昱在三部曲中所采用的创伤叙事策略,包括非线性叙述形式,叙事人称的随意切换,中文和英语的混用以及混杂的文体风格。这些技巧有助于强化创伤主题。相应地,作者强调了三部曲中写作的修复功能。
[Abstract]:Ouyang Yu is the first to be famous for his poetry, but in recent years, more and more scholars have paid more attention to English novels on Transnational subjects. At the same time, more and more scholars have devoted their attention to his English novels. "Dongpo chronicle > (2002)", "English class > (2010)" and "undisciplined wild history > (2011)" together constitute his English novel "the Huangzhou trilogy >" although the critics are not. However, most of the comments on Ouyang Yu's English creation are concentrated in the most famous Trilogy "Dongpo Chronicle". Scholars including Vinka Ommensen, Wang Labao and Huang Zhong respectively explain the race, cultural identity and gender issues in the novel. However, the trilogy as a whole academic review has not yet been carried out. Using text analysis to explore how trilogy shows the trauma caused by social and cultural changes and cultural and geographical displacements. This article focuses on the image of Chinese Chinese intellectuals, and examines how they vent their inner wounds through the emotional expression of "anger". At the same time, this paper analyzes Ouyang Yu's narrative strategies and packages. In the form of postmodernism and semi autobiography, the trauma experience of male characters is further revealed. First, this article will discuss the cultural trauma of the male intellectual group in the cross-cultural context from three aspects. In a broad sense, the economic tide of 1990s has led to the traumatic social transformation, especially the change and belief of social values. The emergence of the crisis caused the intellectuals to be defeated; in a narrow sense, the intellectuals suffered serious political pressures, including the cultural revolution and the Tiananmen incident, which aggravated the trauma of the group. In addition, after immigrating to Australia, the male intellectuals were marginalized by the dominant society of Leah, the white dominated Australian society, and suffered cultural shifts and texts. Secondly, the personal trauma of the male role in the trilogy and the repeated expression of their anger are analyzed. The male heroines in the trilogy are alienated by their parents and they are also dominated by the female peers. In the cross-cultural context, the individual suffers from the collective encounter with the male intellectual. As a response to the traumatic situation, anger is not only an outlet for their suppressed emotional trauma, but also the helplessness of their cross cultural people. Finally, this article analyzes the narrative strategies used by Ouyang Yu in the trilogy, including the form of nonlinear narration, the casual switching of the narrative person, Chinese and English. These techniques help to strengthen the theme of trauma. Accordingly, the author emphasizes the function of restoration in the trilogy.
