经典的建构：《等待戈多》作为英国文化记忆的研究

在论及二十世纪戏剧发展中,不得不提及一位剧作家---塞缪尔·贝克特,他被认为是二十世纪最重要的剧作家之一,其作品《等待戈多》被认为是“荒诞戏剧”的基石,也是“荒诞戏剧”史上的一部经典巨作。距《等待戈多》的出现虽半个世纪有余,但其影响力从未消失,一直持续至今。这篇论文旨在分析《等待戈多》作为英国文化记忆的建构过程。文章将结合扬·阿斯曼的文化记忆理论,从记忆建构的三种方式进行分析:仪式化方式,文本化方式,视觉化方式。通过这三方面来探索《等待戈多》在英国的文化记忆建构史学。本论文包含五个部分。引言部分包括了对《等待戈多》的介绍,还包括文献综述、对记忆理论的阐释、研究的重要性和论文结构。第一章探讨了《等待戈多》能够通过英国戏剧院呈现给大众的政治,经济,文化原因,以及如何通过剧院这种仪式化表演方式来将其建构为英国的文化记忆。第二章分析了《等待戈多》是如何通过文本化方式来继续建构其作为英国的文化记忆,即,《等待戈多》在英国戏剧院成功上演后出现的各种文本解读和学习教化加快了其作为英国文化记忆的进程。第三章分析了随着消费主义与大众文化的盛行,如何通过视听方式更深一步来加深《等待戈多》作为英国文化记忆的...
