聚焦，意识流和意象叙事：凯瑟琳·安·波特短篇小说的叙事分析

　　凯瑟琳·安·波特是20世纪美国最为重要的女性小说家之一。她的短篇作品与乔伊斯、海明威的作品齐名。从本世纪初开始,波特的作品研究呈上升之势,很多专家和学者从各个角度研究波特的作品,包括女性主义,波特的宗教观、南方意识和创伤叙事等,而关于波特的叙事分析,主要集中于波特的中长篇作品。本文运用法国学者热奈特的“聚焦”理论、国内学者龙迪勇的空间叙事理论和杨义的意象叙事理论、以及巴赫金的“镜子”理论来分析波特短篇小说中的叙事。本文提出波特在其短篇小说中主要运用了聚焦变化、意识流及意象叙事来推进文本叙事进程与服务主题。本文分为五部分:第一章引言部分,简要介绍波特的生平、文学地位、波特的研究综述及本文的研究内容、方法和意义;第二章借助热奈特的“聚焦”理论分析《老人》、《玛利亚·孔塞普西翁》及《被抛弃的韦瑟罗尔奶奶》三篇小说的双重聚焦;第三章从意识流的三个方面——蒙太奇、内心独白和自由联想分析《被抛弃的韦瑟罗尔奶奶》、《偷窃》和《坟》的意识流叙事,在心理蒙太奇部分强调了波特独特的时间和空间叙事;第四章探讨了波特短篇小说中的意象叙事。在这一章,利用国内学者杨义的“意象叙事”理论来分析《绳》和《裂镜》中的意...
