　　美国著名诗人史蒂文斯与其他现代派诗人一样,生活在“上帝已经死亡、人们信念丧失”的时代。然而,史蒂文斯并未逃遁退隐,而是积极应战,努力在混乱的现代世界中探寻秩序。为此,本论文以“‘混沌的鉴赏家’:史蒂文斯诗学研究”为题,立足于史蒂文斯的生活历程及其诗歌这一本原,尝试研究史蒂文斯如何在混乱中利用他的艺术想象力探寻秩序,并揭示生活的真谛,从而帮助人们生活。论文不仅追溯了史蒂文斯的想象理论,阐释了其探寻秩序的渴望与激情;而且探析了史蒂文斯关于秩序的理念,展示了作为“混沌的鉴赏家”的史蒂文斯为探寻秩序所做的一切努力。整篇论文共十一章,由四大部分组成。 引言部分对史蒂文斯的思想及其诗歌进行了总体概述,勾画了诗人及其诗歌、诗学的大体轮廓。着重介绍了国外诗歌评论家们对史蒂文斯诗作所做的研究,强调了他们在史蒂文斯的秩序观和他探寻秩序的行为方面的探讨不够深入;并指出了国内诗评界在史蒂文斯诗学研究方面的贫乏,从而肯定了本论文探析史蒂文斯诗学尤其是他关于秩序的理念及其探寻秩序的行为的价值。 第一部分的第一章简单介绍了英国浪漫主义诗人、理论批评家一柯尔律治的想象理论,力图追溯史蒂文斯想象理论的根源。...
