路易斯·厄德里克小说《圆屋》男性气质建构研究

路易斯·厄德里克是美国最有成就、最具创造力的作家之一,也是本土裔文艺复兴运动的重要代表之一。自从1984年出版其第一部著名诗作《照明灯》（Jacklight）以及第一部长篇小说《爱药》以来,厄德里克共著有16部长篇小说、7部儿童文学作品、3部诗集、3部散文集和1部短篇故事集,斩获多个奖项。2012年她的第14部长篇小说《圆屋》颇受评论家好评,并荣膺当年美国国家图书奖。小说讲述了深受白人压迫和摧残的印第安男性逐渐觉醒,建构了印第安裔独特的男性气质,并为惨遭白人迫害的女性寻求正义的故事。本论文基于康奈尔的男性气质理论,探寻印第安男性在寻求印第安司法权、传统文化和种族平等方面的特殊贡献和意义。面对主流文化的压迫与戕害,觉醒的印第安男性群体颠覆了固有的男性气质,建构了新型的印第安男性气质。在践行新型男性气质的过程中,他们治愈了创伤,复兴了本土文化传统。本论文共分为五章。第一章简要介绍厄德里克及其作品《圆屋》,梳理了该作品的国内外研究现状,并阐释康奈尔男性气质理论,提出本文论点。第二、三、四章是本文的主体部分。第二章以印第安法官巴泽尔为研究对象,通过分析其颠覆了共谋性男性气质,建构自我实现型男性...
