规训权力与人物悲剧：《欲望号街车》的福柯式解读

田纳西·威廉斯是20世纪美国最著名的剧作家之一,曾两次荣获普利策戏剧奖、四次荣获纽约戏剧评论家协会奖,对世界文学产生了深远卓著的影响。作为美国南方本土剧作家,田纳西·威廉斯充分发掘南方社会生活题材,并致力于用其揭露现实社会的弊病与敏感问题。其作品《欲望号街车》中,充斥着权力关系与规训制约的现实社会将人们禁锢在一张由多种权力规范编织的网中不得挣脱,展现了社会人的心路历程和绝望的生存困境。本文基于福柯的规训权力的相关理论,挖掘作品中各方势力在社会大背景下缔结的权力关系网络,来揭示在无形的规训权力制约下的人物命运。本文共分五章。第一章简要介绍了田纳西·威廉斯的生平、文学成就,及《欲望号街车》的主要内容,陈述有关本作品的国内外研究现状,并拟定了本论文的写作框架。第二章至第四章是本文的主体部分。第二章围绕文本内容和社会背景,对权力关系的建立进行分析,以探索包括以父权传统为基础、社会伦理规范为支撑的规训权力的建立过程。第三章具体论述了作品中规训权力的维系与巩固的体现。首先体现在规训压迫从各个方面作用于不同的对象,包括对人物之间的性关系、女性身体、女性地位的规约;其次则是运用规训手段对人物进行监控、...
