人际功能视角下《干旱的九月》文体分析

　　威廉·福克纳（William Faulkner）是享誉世界文坛的文学巨匠,也是20世纪美国文学史上最有影响力的作家之一。《干旱的九月》是福克纳的一篇短篇小说,讲述了美国南方社会下根深蒂固的种族主义。文章并没有采用传统的叙事顺序,而是采用了对位式结构将小说分为五部分。小说不仅体现了福克纳对“种族冲突”、“暴力”、“南方妇道观”等传统主题的揭露与鞭挞,而且也体现出他对语言和写作技巧的巧妙运用。人际功能是Halliday系统功能语法中的三大元功能之一,交际参与者通过语言在交际中表达对人或事件的态度、立场、看法,从而影响或改变他人的行为。人际功能研究一般从语气类型、主语、限定成分、剩余成分、情态和人际语法隐喻等方面探讨文本中交际者的性格特点、态度立场或人际关系,最终目的在于揭示在文字表象下所隐藏的创作主题。文体学研究主要分析作者根据语境选择不同的语言结构或语言特色所产生的特定的文体效果,帮助读者更好地理解作者的语言风格和语篇主题,以及文体效果带来的美学享受。因此,以人际功能为理论基础,结合语境探讨短篇小说《干旱的九月》中的文体特色,从微观上来看,不仅能了解福克纳的语言特色和艺术手法,还能帮助读...
