近代中国英文报业的开端——《广州纪录报》初探

【摘要】：《广州纪录报》作为广州第一份近代化报刊,不仅是近代中国第一份英文报刊,也是鸦片战争前后中国最重要的商业报刊。论文以《广州纪录报》缩微胶卷为新史料,介绍其创刊过程、编辑方针、主要内容、编排特色等概况;论述其在践行和传播新闻出版自由理念、出版增刊号外、注重革新版面和多样经营等方面的开创性贡献。《广州纪录报》不仅在中国新闻传播发展史具有奠基地位,成为近代中国英文报业的开端;而且在世界新闻传播发展史上具有重要的开拓意义。其积极发挥联通中外的社会作用,紧密地将中国纳入了世界信息交流的新闻网络,成为世界近代化报刊走向中国并在中华大地落地生根的关键环节之一。
[Abstract]:As the first modern newspaper in Guangzhou, Guangzhou Records is not only the first English newspaper in modern China, but also the most important commercial newspaper in China before and after the Opium War. This paper takes the microfilm of Guangzhou Records News as the new historical material, introduces its founding process, editorial policy, main contents, arrangement features and so on, and discusses its practice and dissemination of the concept of freedom of the press and publication, and the publication supplement. The Guangzhou Records not only laid a foundation in the history of news communication in China, but also became the beginning of modern Chinese English newspaper industry. And in the history of world news communication has important pioneering significance. It has brought China into the news network of the world information exchange and become one of the key links for the modernization of the world newspapers and periodicals to go to China and take root in the land of China.
