《经济学家》中“美国财政悬崖”报道的概念隐喻研究

　　隐喻一直是西方哲学家和语言学家研究的热点。两千多年前的亚里士多德认为隐喻是修饰性的且是人与生俱来的天赋；20世纪30年代的理查德提出隐喻互动理论；在20世纪70年代,隐喻与哲学、心理学、符号学及认知科学等领域相结合的研究形成了“隐喻热”；1980年莱考夫和约翰逊合著的《我们赖以生存的隐喻》一书的出版,标志着隐喻在认知方面的研究进入了一个新纪元。书中指出,隐喻无处不在,不仅存在于语言中,也存在于人们的思维和行动中,我们赖以思维和行动的日常概念系统,其本质就是隐喻的。随着经济的飞速发展,越来越多的经济现象随之产生,从而带来了越来越多的新的抽象经济概念,比如说“财政悬崖”。2012年底,美国布什政府时期和金融危机后推出的减税政策到期,2013年1月1日美国将同时面临增加税收和减少开支的政策叠加的局面,这使得美国政府的财政支出曲线看上去像悬崖,“财政悬崖”这一生动形象的术语应运而生。报刊杂志中有大量关于财政悬崖的报道评论。那么这些报道评论是怎样围绕“悬崖”这一隐喻展开的?有没有其他类型的概念隐喻来一同说明“财政悬崖”这一现象?本文以莱考夫和约翰逊的概念隐喻为理论基础,选用权威财经杂志《经济学家...
